Aryanna - I'm just the opposite! The first thing that gets big on me are my thighs, then b___t! I wish I was all belly! My b___bs got a little bigger - YAY! I went from an A cup to a B cup so far - whoo, hoo! Babywish - CONGRATS on the baby! So happy to hear you and Samantha are doing well. Would love to hear details on your baby story : ) SDMommy - how about trying to go to the emergency room? They would have to check in the ER for sure how your levels are doing. You're probably short on time trying to find a new doc... I'm sure they've got to get your records transferred, etc... You'll probably have the baby by the time all that is done. Good luck!

BABYWISH- Congrats on your sweet little baby! I am so happy to hear that she is healthy and doing well..it gives me a lot of hope that if our son has to come early that he will be ok, because my doctors think I will be having our son early. So thank you for posting your wonderful news- it personally made me feel a little more peace. SDMOMMY- I am so sorry to hear about your fluid levels, I too am having the same problem- but what I can tell you is this. My Perinatologist found the problem with my fluids after doing a routine ultrasound 2 weeks ago. At that time my fluid level was at an 8. I was so scared and worried but luckily I went to my regular OB/GYN 2 days later for his checkup and he rea__sured me that my levels were not bad at an 8. He said that they are in the normal range- just a little low- and not too worry. He said that they really worry if the amniotic levels reach a 5 and that is considered critical. I am now at a 6.3 and I have been advised by both doctors to drink a ton of water and to rest as much as I can. So my advice would be to make sure you are drinking plenty of water and getting enough rest. You can try to find another doctor but it may be a long process. If you keep leaking fluid and you feel it is excessive then go to the hospital and tell them that you are leaking fluid and you have had a problem with low amniotic fluid- they have to check you out and let you know what is going on. Good luck, try not to stress out too much,, we will keep you in our prayers and please keep us updated!

Baywish...congratulations! Great news and so happy to hear she thriving so well after being born early. Is this your first baby? sdmommy...I would try and get a second opinion..chances are that everything is fine so try not to worry too much. It might be far more stressful changing doctors now than just sticking with the one you have and going with the backup doctor if you go into labour/induce when the doc is on vacation. I know it must be stressful though. I only have 12 days until due date- that's if i go to my due date...getting nervous about giving birth and just want the hard part to be over...but...depp down i know our bodies were designed for this so everything is going to be ok....i wake up every day and go to bed every night thinking...''will this be the day?''...

babywish - September 19

Hi all. Gonna try to give you all details on my delivery of our first baby. Sd, pay attention this may pertain to you and everyone else "leaking." I woke up Monday morning and i felt like I was leaking something. Went pee, peed like normal. Stood up, leaking again. Figured ok, my kidneys must be messing w me or baby's kicking bladder. Lay back down, got up later leaking again, not heavy or anything none of it was since the beginning, felt like you know period leak without cramps. I woke husband up told him I think my water broke, he said I think you'd know if your water broke. Thanks for nothin guy. Called the doc's office. Nurse called back bout n hr later. She wanted to see me at 3. She did an internal with just a piece of litmus paper, she said if it turns blue it's amniotic fluid. She said guess what it's blue. She sent me over to labor n delivery at the hosp across the street. It was about 4 that one of the group practice ob's came in, she put the clamps in and GUSH water everywhere. She said I was 1 cm. Then came the contractions. OMG!!! Ma__sive backpain and belly pain. My mom and hubby were there, my mom's telling me honey these are only small ones still. I'm like holy c___p if these are small I'm gonna die from the big ones. Cramps cramps n more cramps, not getting closer together, and increasing in intensity. Bout 4 am nurse comes in gives me an injection of something, as soon as she puts it in my IV, I'm like WHEE!!!! I like this!!! No more pain, conk out hard, woke up 2 hrs later to the biggest contraction. I was crying. They checked me, I was at 6 cm but not progressing, so i needed Pitocin (7 am) to get the contractions going. Ouchies, holy serious crampages!!! They call the anesthesiologist for my epid. He comes, bout 8 am, puts it in the middle of a contraction and tells me not to move. Lemme tell ya, that was a treat. Then bout 10 minutes later still having ma__sive contractions, back labor, epi didn't work. They call the dude back, he's already left the hosp. Shows up 2 hrs later to redo it. Then it worked. That was about 10 am. It dumbed my legs, my belly up to my b___bs, my back, which is where i was having the most pain, but NOT the v____a. Have contractions for about 2 1/2 more hrs, but they were bearable cuz the only place I felt the pain really was my v____a. I tell the nurse that I could feel something really hard pushing on my v____a, and lo n behold her head was there ready for me to push I was at 10 finally. It took me quite a few pushes to get her out, I didn't count how many. I just wanted her out. I ripped, needed 5 st_tches getting em was uncomfortable, but not unbearable. The hardest part was getting her head out. That hurt like hell. Don't wanna scare anyone, I am the biggest wimp when it comes to pain, but I'm telling you I was not screaming like the people you see on tv, I was a crier. I cried and wimpered. with the contractions. The only difference I noticed with the earlier ones and the later ones was that the earlier ones lasted a whole lot longer. I kinda liked the ones toward the end more because they only hurt for a few seconds then went away for a few seconds, but they didn't last as long the ones at the beginning were more unbearable because I didn't know how long they were gonna last. The ones at the end I knew were only a few seconds so I took like 3 or 4 deep breaths and they went away, then started again n same thing. The breathing definitely helped. Not taking any lamaz or anything I did pretty well with the breathing. I thought for sure I'd have problems with the breathing cuz of my asthma, but I never did. Advice I can give is make sure you have someone with ice chips there with you cuz your mouth WILL be dry. Mints helped me too. Hubby had em in his pocket. Also take chap stick or some type of lip balm, my mom had it in her purse so that helped.

DESTINY - September 19

CONGRATS BABYWISH!!! Well I had my doctors appt was yesterday. I am almost 4 cm dialated, 50% and baby is stationed at a -2. So Hopefully we are getting closer. my lmp due date would be Oct 1st, My first ultrasound due date would be oct 12. So I compromised with the doctor that my due date could be between the middle of the two. lol. I am so ready. Tried the s_x thing last night, didn't work yet. Walked alot yesterday, didn't work either. lol. I suppose I am impatiently waiting. It will come soon enough. I feel like I have been pregnant forever, oh yeah thats right I have. Only had about 7 weeks before I found out I was pregnant again wtih this one. I need to find a new hobby. Oh I can't wait until we all start posting our baby births. I have decided to name this baby Jonathan Michael. My other ones are Jacob Joel, Tyler William and Destiny Marie. But this is it for me, having my tubes tied after this one. I feel kinda of sad, but I really don't want to have anymore. Anyone else have their tubes tied. Talk to you all later.

joeby321 - September 19

Hi Destiny- I am having my tubes tied when I deliver my little guy. Not only have I decided that I now have enough kids..lol but my doctors have told me that it would be too dangerous for me to have anymore kids without jeopardizing my health any further.

JNFR614 - September 19

I'm back from the dr.- did not get an internal today, I figured there probably hasn't been any progress since last week, so I'm just waiting until next weeks appt. Found out a couple little not so good things today- there is some protein in my urine, but blood pressure is normal, so she said it is probably just from the excessive discharge. I also tested positive for group b strep, but during delivery they will give me antibiotics to prevent baby from getting it. Anyone else test positive? I just researched it & it says up to 40% of all healthy women carry it, so that eases my mind a little.

beka81 - September 19

JNFR i also tested positive for Strep B in the beginning of my pregnancy and had to take antibiotics. My doctor also told me that i would have to get a shot during delivery as well....i don't think it's anything to worry about as long as you take care of it. If the baby got it, it would be a different story...i feel so sick ladies. I don't know how to make myself feel better. No appet_te, running to the bthrm, achey belly- NOT FUN! :(

DESTINY - September 19

I had strep with the last baby, had to have 4 hours of antibiotics before delivering to ensure baby would be okay. I didn't have it with the first two and I don't have it with this one, so it is just something that happens and they really don't know why. I worried alot too. But I also got the doctor to induce a week early because of it (and that my husband drives a semi, so we made sure he would be there). Baby came out just perfect. I am still waiting her impatiently. lol. I told my husband if we had s_x maybe the baby would come, and he has been teasing me all day, Wheres the baby, huh. lol. I just tell him to go away. lol. Well, ladies I am so ready and tired. Trying to relax a little and hope baby comes soon.

MissP - September 19

Congrats Babywish, thats an amazing if scarey story. Im so suprised you still tore with a tiny baby like that! I thought it would be easier for you. Obviously not!! Mine is estimated to be 7-8pounds at 2 wks early so im just glad he is coming early! wow, scary stuff. Thanks for the tips on what to take to the hospital. Sdmommy - i would definitly get a 2nd opinion, even just based on the fact that you feel you are leaking fluid and combined with the drop of heartbeat. Its so better to be safe than sorry. Sometimes these doctors just dont take things seriously enough and we ladies hav to fight to get someone to give enough attention to the problem. Go into the emergency if thats what you have to do. I wish you all the best. As for me, ive been trying to rest but not finding it easy. iv got shooting pains down there and very heavy period pain feelings constantly, plus backache after just a few minutes of standing. Roll on monday! x x

CatsMommy - September 19

Jen - I wouldn't worry about it. Mine came back negative, but my doc said it's very common for women (she said about 35%) to have that Strep B test come back positive. They'll just end up giving you some antibiotics when you deliver. They found protein in my urine last week and the doc said to drink more fluids. I was also sick with the cold last week. This week, protein level in my urine was normal. Just a few more weeks for you... you've got your scheduled induction! Focus on that - I wouldn't worry too much about the other stuff going on. You know Gianna is healthy and so are you! Babywish - I'm just thrilled for you! CONGRATS!

wv_red - September 19

britt_m - September 20

Hi ladies, that is a great birth story and I can't wait to read more! I was told at my last appt that there was no sign of the mucus plug at all anymore. But I had red tinged mucus when I wiped today? I'm 35w and have had mucus (like the plug) on and off every few days for quite a while I a__sumed it was just trying to replenish itself or something but that suprised me with the little bit of blood. Nothing else going on that I can tell yet out of the ordinary. Not bleeding or anything. We're having a cookout tonight, whoo hoo! I get to watch everyone enjoy a few drinks, lol. Oh about the strep B, I tested positive with my dd and got the antibiotic during delivery, no problems. When I went into preterm labor this time at 28 weeks I was tested again as it could be a cause and it came out negative I'll be tested once more at the next appt, as the tests are only good for like 6 or so weeks. But you can still be a carrier and not "have" it all the time. Thats why they do it at the end.

ejmeskan - September 20

WOW- CONGRATS Babywish!!! Good luck MissP- please update us asap!!! Britt- that is bloody show!!! Ok this is what my doc told me, my baby book and what actually HAPPENED to me. M-Plug can happen a month, weeks or a days before delivery but most commonly within weeks/days. The bloody show however means labor is only hours/days away (NOT to get you excited!) We my son I had my m-plug 2 weeks prior to deliver but my bloody show (exactly what you explained) was only 24 hours before labor started!!!!! Wow- a lot of excitement here! I have my appt on Monday- I am looking forward to seeing if there is progress...I am going to guess NO
