EJ that is awesome! Do you know whether your baby is anterior or posterior? My baby has it's spine along my left side and I wish it would move more up front, because I really don't want it turning posterior in labour. DO you think the BH do thin the cervix? I am so curious to know if I'm dilated or not, but the midwives don't usually check. Do you have to have your mucous plug or show to know you're dilating? Anyone know that? ALso I don't actually know what I"m having. THe ultrasound tech said she 'thought' it was a girl, but the chord was all between the legs and she wasn't sure. That was at 19 wks. I haven't had anymore ultrasounds. SO I could be surprised!

No, some gals don't ever lose their plug or show. My babe is actually spine on my right side. And you know what- I am not positive about the BH's but I know I haven't had a real contraction yet but know that my contractions during working outs are really strong BH's!!!! Good luck!

wow you guys are getting so close.. you must be so happy. Ok well here is my update- I went to the Perinatologist today and while they said that everything sounded great- once I got into the ultrasound room, the news wasn't so good. They said that my amniotic levels are not really improving and they are on the verge of putting me in the hospital any day. I feel like I am going crazy- I am drinking tons of water now but my fluids aren't increasing and I just don't know what else to do. Now my regular OB/GYN who I also saw today says that everything seems fine and for me not to stress out too much. It is driving me crazy- one doctor is so optimistic I trust him because he delivered my youngest daughter and is just awesome but I have these other doctors telling me that everything is wrong!!! Has this been happening or ever happened to anyone else. I only have 5 weeks left until my delivery date and I just need to keep our son in the womb for as long as I can.

Joey try not to stress too much, it won't help. I can see how it can be irritiating to have differing opinions. K eep in mind that if your baby was born right now it would likely be ok. I had totally different opinions on the vbac I"m trying for too. My one doc was totally pessimistic, screaming rupture rates at me, and the midwives and my new OB are all for it. Everyone has their opinion. Just have some faith. Good luck!

That's awesome news, Liz! Good to hear you and baby are doing well!! I know we're all pretty much in the same boat and CAN'T WAIT till these little guys/gals are out! The last 2 days I've been feeling a bit funny... I haven't lost my M-Plug or no B-show just yet... but my belly feels funny. It has dropped and now lays on my thighs. I have super sharp pains down by my crotch - can't sit for too long because it hurts. Heartburn has doubled - it's at the acid reflux level now (which is super gross). I was up about every 1 - 1/2 hours to go pee and the pressure down there was almost unbearable! You ladies having similar issues?? I have my doc appt tomorrow - hopefully I'll have some good news like Liz : )

Hi ladies. WEll, Samantha's still in NICU. She was losing weight which all babies do supposedly, and my b___stmilk didn't have enough calories I guess so they had to fortify it. She's fine though otherwise, rambunctious and vibrant. They said they're gonna thermal wean her either today or tomorrow. It is so frustrating, one nurse is telling me that, another is telling me she has to gain weight before they do that. I know that once she's thermal weaned it'll only be a few more days b4 she's home. I think port partum depression is kicking my b___t cuz I've been so weepy the last couple days. One minute I'll be fine the next minute I am crying my eyes out. I've been trying to get my house back in order after being on bedrest for 3 months slowly getting there. I have her room ready and I have my shower this Sunday. I can't wait.

ejmeskan - September 23

Hmmm Mari...sounds like some progress to me!!! I have to tell you ladies...I had some show this morning from my internal and it got me all excited for the real deal! ha! now THAT is pathetic!

Hey everyone. I am 39 wks today. Aside from being horribly uncomfortable and huge, I do not have any signs when he is coming. It is a good tihng though because my parents will be flying out on sunday so hopefully he will stay in there still sunday night so they can watch my son. My sister thinks he is coming friday! I told he had better not. He is definitely down there though, I have to pee every 15-30 mins and constantly feel pressure down there. We took a drive up to over 12,000 feet on Sat to see the fall leaves in the Rockys, it was so beautiful. We took some hikes that I was hoping would bring on labor along with the alt_tude but it didnt work. Babywish-I hope your little girl comes home soon. I cant imagine how hard this is for you but it will be over soon and you will not have time to clean your house again!

ejmeskan - September 23

Oh babywish- I am sorry I missed your post. Hang in there! I hope she is home with you soon!!! Have fun at your shower!!! Patience...You are doing so awesome...you wanted him in there until Sunday...hopefully you can keep that true!!! Oh and I thought of you yesterday at my appt...my doc couldn't find my cervix again because it was so far up and on my back (which is what caused my back labor last time) and it just brought back horrid memories of the pain...I was like...Ok I know you can't tell me for sure but does my cervix being so far back mean that I will have back labor again? He laughed and Said "there is unfortunatley no way for me to be able to tell that just by this" Oh please no!! :)

Im 37 weeks. Im 3cm dilated and my baby girls head is way down ( no wonder I have to pee so much, and it kinda hurts) I actually think my exam yesterday made me dilate more, because I started to lose more of my plug, Im sure its just about gone by now. I have been losing it for 5 weeks. But also I feel even more pressure down there with even more pains in my va jay jay.

JNFR614 - September 23

OMG, GUESS WHAT- I CAN'T BELIEVE IT SLIPPED MY MIND, BUT MISSP SHOULDA HAD HER BABY BY NOW!!! SHE WAS SCHEDULED FOR AN INDUCTION YESTERDAY, WASN'T SHE? HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM HER? I HOPE THEY ARE DOING WELL.

ejmeskan - September 23

I was thinking about MissP all day yesterday...The suspence kills me...I just want to know! ha!

beka81 - September 23

Oh wow...GOOD LUCK MISS P!!! Can't wait to hear about it!

ejmeskan - September 23

suspense

CatsMommy - September 23

Can I tell you how jealous I am?? I'm not dialated at all... no discarge of any sort after my internal exam last Wednesday. Just a ton of annoying pressure, sharp pains and I pee every flipping hour! I guess we'll see what the doc has to say at my next appt tomorrow. Babywish - before you know it, your baby girl will be home with you. I bet you're looking forward to the shower - what fun! MISSP - WHERE ARE YOU??? EVERYTHING OK? I'm sure she'll post soon to give us the details. It's funny seeing November and December Mommies posting on the forum - that was us a few months back when the Aug & Sept Mommies were having babies! We're all next ladies.

Saird - September 23

Yeah you're right, that was us, now we're waiting for birth stories! Don't feel so bad, I"m not dilated either apparently. Midwife checked today, says I'm very soft and ripe, but not dilated yet. I guess BH don't help that out! However I"m thinking I"ve had a few real contractions today, because my back will kill and my lower tummy will hurt, I get all hot and feel nauseous. Definitely different than just the tightening of the BH. Midwife says dilation doesn't mean much anyway, that can change overnight, so we shouldn't be too disappointed. I cannot wait to hear from Miss P!!!
