does anyone get painful braxton hicks? i read on website that it isnt suppose to be painful but with all of my pregnancies i always have very painful braxton hicks. last month i had 2 very very painful braxton hick sessions. i feels intense pain in lower tummy, most on my sides and very bad lower back pain. is this normal to get them this painful?

i also forgot to ask, is it the more braxton hicks you get the better it is? faster labor? with this labor i only had 2 so far and i am 7mths. with my previous pregnancies i had alot of braxton hicks and my labor was fast. anyone know?

I know that mine are painful too-my OB says they affect every woman differently

I had some pretty painful ones - and I was told so long as they don't develop into a pattern they are fine but as far as the more you have the faster the labor I can't say....

My braxton hicks can stop me in my tracks. Whoever said they didn't hurt is a liar! However, I don't remember them being this painful with my first child.

Mine are also painful...I don't know...I get them almost every night...now. I am going to ask my doctor about them at my next visit.

yeah, mine are very uncomfortable/painful as well - and it wasn't this way with my first. My dr just told me that I shouldn't worry unless they get more intense and don't go away with rest and water. They drive me crazy though.

the first time i had it i thought i was in early labor because i read up if you have lower back back with your contraction then its labor. turn out not in my case but it sure scared the bejesus outta me!!!! all morning today while cleaning dishes and cooking lunch i had braxton hicks but it was different this time that it didnt hurt, just a be of tightening and annoying.
