What No One Told Me About Pregnancy

After the ladies in my May due date group laughed about not being able to wipe themselves without nearly falling off the toilet, I thought this could be a funny thread. What are some things that no one warned YOU about with being pregnant?

When you get kicked in the bladder and instantly pee yourself-I happened to be in line at the grocery store wearing light pants and had to hope the lady behind me didn't notice-but she did and made sure to inform me I had an accisent-as if I didn't know!! Or peeing when you cough/sneeze/throw up very nice! Also the getting kicked in the (sry if offensive) b___thole and the face you make when it happens or feeling like the baby is gonna pop his head out and say what goin on? towards the end when he is low

No one bothered to tell me that you get a nice big flap of skin that hangs there after a c-section. Tummy tuck anyone? Oh and the gas during pregnancy.... my poor husband!

Yeah so I am sitting here watching the last episode of rock the cradle I dont know if anyone watches this besides me but chloe needs to stop humping the floor ...shes a dirty bird Harley (my dads dog) keeps putting her head on my lap .. she is so sweet...a raging lunatic at the door to strangers and a big baby to me - i had the lights off an she looked like my quazi so I grabbed her and kissed her whole face like I did to quaz ...this time without crying- everytime today I tried to be close to her all it did was remind me she wasnt quaz so I cried but this time the light was off ... I even called her quazi .. a lil sick maybe but it made me feel ok for a moment. Baby violet was kicking my a__s today and I swear I felt a booty today haha

I did forget about the shaving thing! I gave up at 4 months legs and everything else except armpits-It hurts to put all that pressure on one leg and i cant reach em anyway and god forbid you try to keep "down there" tidy I cant even find it!!

The shaving part for me...I didn't realize how hard it would be now. So I have also given up...I will shave my legs everyone in a while when I feel up to the challenge.lol. but i do keep my armpits shaved...no trouble there. I have not peed myself yet and I hope I do not have that problem. Also no one told me how hard it was to get out of soft chairs and low cars...its a pain in the b___t. Then I feel bad when I have to actually ask for help sometime lol.

MommyAzure, you too? I had an emergency C-section and have the lovely flap of skin. Glad it's not just me but I really wish it would go away... yeah and the wiping thing was a bear. I'd say those were my two big ones.

Yeah... Put me on the no-shave list. I feel bad not shaving below the belt, but I can't reach, and DH won't help me. He's afraid he'd nick me or something, lol. Still shave the pits, but thats about it anymore. Well, I sort of try down there, but I can't see what I'm doing, and if I had to guess it probably looks like I tried to cut it with a lawnmower or something... I don't even want to know. I shave my legs every great once in awhile, but only when I have too. I hope they don't mind come delivery day if things look a bit overgrown in some parts, cause, ya know what? I give up. The other thing that gets to me is the pain. I have the pelvic/hip pain, and now I'm getting the sciatic nerve pain & numbness in my left foot, and its really annoying. Ugh. Yeah, no one really mentioned any of that to me, lol. Or at least, if they did, I wasn't paying enough attention!

oh and I just got the wonderful swelling-I can stand up for about 5 minutes at a time and I cant put shoes or socks on at all! my feet are big blue baloons theyre disgusting!! I feel like I got stung by a million bees

HeatherIsHopeful - April 27

lol how about what no one told you about delivery... no one ever said anything about having to insert a catheter after you get an epi cause you cant get up to pee... lol I dont know why that bothers me so much but its something I never though about until the nurse at my birthing cla__s was talking about it... just sorta cought me off guard I guess.

Today I learned... strappy sandals are no longer worth the effort. I needed to adjust the straps because my ankles were swollen and OMG it was the most difficult task I have had so far this pregnancy. There I am, tilted in the chair, trying to pull my foot up, and I can't figure out how to position my foot so I can actually GET TO the strap! Yeesh.
