Chances Of Twins Multiples

I bought my pre seed on ebay and had it in three days. Later I saw it in town and wished I had known so I could have saved shipping. I can't remember where I saw it, but it would have to of been Walmart, Target, or CVS. I was looking for the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor at the time and those were the only places I looked and campared prices. Robitussin is used to thin the CM since clomid can make it hostile to sperm. Pre seed acts as the CM and helps with women having v____al dryness from the clomid.

Thanks, Lauren, and thanks to everyone else, I'm going to get some pre seed tomorrow, or, maybe I should just use the eggwhites as Kim suggested.

Hi, Lauren. At 1:30am I wiped and got pink blood. All night and nothing. I would like to believe it is implantation bleeding, but I know better than to get my hopes up. Today is cd25 for me. I have started a day earlier each month I have been on clomid. If this holds true, than 3rd month 3 days early or today. When I asked my doctor why I was starting early since most women on clomid talk of starting late, she said that they are manipulating my hormaones with clomid and sometimes the body does funny things and not to worry. I wish I could give you more advice, but that is what I was told. I figure later today, I will start flowing heavy. Just waiting. Baby Dust and Good Luck! Maybe you are having implantion bleeding?

Lauren - I hope that's all the blood you see! That's the perfect time for implantation bleeding. It "usually" occurs a little before you'd expect your period. Hopefully that's what it is, and maybe you've got more than one in there, and that's why you're having some bleeding. I read in a twin/triplets/quads book, that that is much more common in multiple pregnancies...just a little hope for you. If you remember me, I got pregnant my first time on Clomid (don't need it, trying for multiples), and then m/c at about 5.5 weeks. I started bleeding yesterday again (4 weeks since the m/c) and today it's pretty heavy, so I am thrilled that I have my first AF since the m/c already! My body is already back to normal again, and since I have one more dose of pills left, I'm going to take them this month one more time, and hope that it sticks this time. My doc has already given me a prescription for progesterone suppositories to take at first positive pregnancy test, and hopefully that will help me this time. Maybe not...we'll see. Good Luck to everyone! Keep us posted Lauren.

Hi thanks Julie & Amanda for the words of encouragement. I guess is just so much like last mth was that I feel I'm gonna start in a few days. Julie after my m/c I got pg the next mth...I beleive you are more fertile & it worked for me with my 1st. Amanda I hope you are not starting AF too...this is not fair. You no whats weird is last mth on 50mg I had wayyyy more side effects than this mth on 100mg...go figure that one out...all it did was make my AF come 5 days sooner (i bet).

I got my clomid (fertomid) from www.drugstoreone.com delivered to Australia within 2 weeks, exp not til Dec 2007!

I know you said you wait until the second month on clomid to TTC. Have you read somewhere that this increases the chance of multiples? I'm curious the reasoning behind it. I can't seem to find this info on the net. Thanks, Kristina

Hi, Lauren. Just checking in to see how you were doing. I still have'nt started. I little more spotting though. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it came back negative. I think I may have ovulated on the 17th of this month. If so, I am not due to start till Wednesday. I will wait till then and take another test if AF doesn't show. Let me know how you are doing. Good Luck!

Lauren - August 28

Hi Amanda - I am praying for you & hope by wed. you get a BFP (and the rest of us too). Today is cycle day 26 still no more spotting but tons of cramping?? AF due on Thurs the 1st...not feeling pg thats for sure. Alot of stress this mth did likely help. How is everyone else Sunita? Zoe? Julie I'm so glad you are on your way again...I hope its this mth for you & no more mc...let me know.

Hello ladies. I just took my first round of Clomid and I ovulated perfect just on the wrong side. I only have one good tube. So I have to take clomid again next month and see of i ov on the right side next month. I would love to have twins so I was thinking of taking my clomid on maybe day 2 or 3 instead of 5-9 like this time. Does anybody have any suggestion on if the dates really make a difference???

I am also in the process of taking clomid, unprescribed, in the hopes of conceiving multiples. I conceived identical girls last December (without meds, of course...meds can't increase your odds of identicals) and lost one to twin-twin transfusion syndrome at 29 weeks. I carried both babies to 32 weeks, and my surviving baby is home now and healthy as can be. So, I am well-versed in twin pregnancies and the risks thereof. BUT i still desperately want the "twin-mom" experience. I took 100mg on days 1-6. I ordered my meds (fertomid...generic clomid) from an internet site (there are many of them...just google "clomid no prescription" or something like that, and find one...you can even compare prices). Mine also arrived in an envelope (no box...but in one of those push-out sheets of pills, so i was reasonably confident they hadn't been tampered with) from India, but the pills were identical to those I googled. Looking forward to BD very often for the next month, especially around cd 10-16. Whether or not I conceive multiples (hopefully only (ha!) twins, but I would be thrilled with triplets, too!), at least my daughter will have at least one sibling very close to her in age. ("Irish twins"). I'm looking forward to checking back to this page to see how everyone does. As for statistics, I'm sure I've seen the same ones everyone who researches has....anywhere from less than 1% to something like 65%. (!!!). Anything that increases my odds is worth my money and time. My side effects haven't been bad. Some minor hot flashes (easily cured with ice cold drinking water) and crampiness. I will let y'all know how it turns out.

Karynasedai - August 29

Also, ladies, keep in mind that any stats you read regarding multiples and clomid (at least the reputable ones, from doctors, not guesstimates from NICU nurses) are based on *prescribed* clomid. Clomid is usually only prescribed if one does not ovulate, or ovulates abnormally, without medication. Therefore, the chances of twins/multiples must be much higher in those who do ovulate without drugs, since Clomid simply tricks the brain into thinking it hasn't, or won't, ovulate at all.
