i'm no expert but i think babies are usually born with blonde hair and blue eyes (maybe not always). It is very possible but don't forget that sometimes they say things skip a generation, so if the rest of your family is also that way it is probably even more likely.

nearly all babies are born with blue eyes. By the sound of things it does sound likely that your baby will have blonde hair and blue eyes but as jenna said it goes by past generations too.

I can atest to the skipping a generation thing in both myself as a baby and my DD. Both my parents have very dark hair, never had been blond, but I was white-blond until middle school when it started to darken. With my own DD, I have green eyes and DH has hazel, but our DD has electric blue eyes. Both her great-g'fathers had light blue eyes, and one of her g'fathers does. Genetics are funny that way.

I have blond hair and blue eyes and my DH has brown hair and brown eyes. Our 1st two daughters both have brown hair and eyes, we are still waiting to see about daughte #3, who will be here in 4-5 weeks. I went on the website about eye color and asks about you and hubby's parents, you, and sibling eye color, then gives you a % chance for each eye color. Mine was 50% chance for Brown, 37% Blue, and 13% Green. Both my parents have blue eyes and I am only one with blue eyes, my brother and sister have green. Go fiqure!

tashabaty-the chances for you have a child with blond hair are far greater than the the blue eyes, but your chances for having a child with blue eyes are high. The blue eye gene is a recessive gene that both parents must carry in order to have a child with blue eyes. Now even though you both have blue eyes, the blue eye gene IS NOT and will never be a dominant gene- it will ALWAYS be recessive-in everyone. So because you both carry the recesive blue eye gene your child has a great chance of having blue eyes. Onemoretime-the website you went to, was it for entertainment purposes only, or did it ask for genetic history for both you and your husband. The only way to know the chances of possible eye color, is to know the genetic history (does his immediate family have the recessive trait?) And genetically, green eyes are a form brown eyes, so you would have a higher chance of having a child with green eyes before you would a child with blue.

Oh yeah, i have blue eyes. my brother has hazel and my sister has brown, and so do my parents and grandparents, my great grandfather on my moms side and my great grandma on my dads side had blue eyes, so only going as far your parents is not far enough, if that was the case, statiscally speaking, i should have brown eyes.
