KRISTINE: Yes that is where I live. I has snowed all day today... our REAL BIG snow storm of the season. Really odd that it is already January. So no more mud/snow --- just snow. So if I go hiking -- I will have to take out my snowshoes and put Alex in the baby bijour (I have the Jeep brand though -- a lot cheaper). ••••• COOKIE: I really love the mail box picture!!! That would have been a perfect picture for Alex since DH is a postmaster. I always say Alex is the postman's love child! And DH says it better not be the Milkman's! LOL! Sorry to read about your milk production. Maybe you should pump more to stimulate production. How long do you normally pump? I can get about on average 2 ounces from a 5 minute pump on one b___st... if I am really engorged I can get like 4 ounces out of one b___st. But some days I am dry --- and get like an ounce. So it all depends. Are you drinking enough water? I have the biggest problem trying to drink enough... I can go hours without having a gla__s. I just don't want to do formula. I had to do 50/50 when Alex was a week old. I had to feed her formula one feeding and b___st milk the next for a week when she had her bad case of jaundice. Her poop stank from the formula. I decided right then and there --- the smell alone was a good reason not to give her formula. Anyhow, I have been solely b___stfeeding since she has been 2 weeks old. It is irrating sometimes how she needs to be feed every 3 hours. And if I was doing formula it would have kept her fuller longer... but there are so many good things in b___stfeeding that I am just going with it and will see how long I do it for.

wow that's alot of milk...I can get maybe an ounce if i'm lucky off one b___st after 10 minutes...the most i've gotten off of on (and that was when I was feeling engorged was an ounce 1/2)...and my munckin eats about 4 ounces of formula...now when I'm home I let her nurse first for how long she wants (normally about 10-15 per b___st)...then if she is still hungry-which is only sometimes I top her up with 2-3 ounces of formula...and dh usually takes 1 or 2 feedings with her on just formula...I was really dissapointed about this as formula is so dang expensive...and i'm going to talk to the dr about it tomorrow...I may need to get a better b___st pump...i'm just glad she's at least getting 1/2 of her supply from me...I guess that's better than none...and I agree her poop smells alot worse when she has the formula...it's so funny i'm at my office with her, and she is sleeping behind my desk...another person who share office space with us has his 1 year old in his office today...so this place is a little like romper room..I can't imagine what the opposing counsel think, we have a huge federal case going on at the moment and they are doing depositions in our office, lol...and our offices are like romper room....

KRISTINE: How many weeks are you now? Are you looking into childbirthing cla__ses yet? I was 28 weeks when i did mine. Mine cla__s was free via the hospital that I delivered at. You counting the days until your shower??

Kristine - January 17

I'm 30 weeks. Next week, we are taking a one night hypnobirthing cla__s and then in mid-February, we will be taking an all day childbirth cla__s. 11 days to the shower. Of course old man winter has arrived today and I pray we will have good weather. We have had such unseasonable weather for New England since November that it was bound to come to an end. lol

NVgirl - January 17

KRISTINE: OH MY GOSH... 10 more weeks to go!!! I am so excited for you!!!! The end of March will be here sooner than you know it... LOL, then there was me... it was way sooner than I thought... Miss Alexandria came at 36 weeks! Ask your mother if you were early, late or on time. The OBGYN told me you usually follow your mother's lead on delivering. I was born 3 weeks early to my parents and Alex came 3 weeks early too... so I did follow in my mother's foot steps. How's your heartburn? I had really bad heart burn where they had me on Prevacid --- but I stopped taking it becuase it wasn't working the last 8 weeks... and it was $30 each month to buy so I nixed that... what seemed to temporarily work on the short term was: Maalox multi symptom (place it in the fridge) and Milk of Magnesia for Antacid and laxative... I was very constipated too... so the OBGYN said to take Milk of Magnesia... you'd take 1 tsp for antacid and 4 tsp for laxative purposes. So hopefully you are fairing better than I was. ••••• COOKIE: How are you and Mackenzie? How was your depositions while the kiddies were there?

Kristine - January 17

She can't come early! We aren't ready. Room hasn't even been started. Yikes! My sister and I were both early. My sister was 7 weeks early and I think I was 3 or 4. Have to check on that. --------------------------I am taking the generic Zantac and it is working. I tried Mylanta and Maalox but they did not do anything for me. COOKIE, How's things with the job?

Hi girls, I'm so looking forward to Disney tomorrow...it's our first annivsary (boy we had a busy year)...and as an anniversary gift my mom is going to watch Kenzie for the night...i'm feeling sort of guilty...but i'm soooo looking forward to a complete night of sleep...work has been really busy...and between work and school for dh he's also exhausted so I try not to wake him up for the middle of night feedings...so i'm beat...but LOVIN IT!!!!...she has started cooing and she rolled over for the first time yesterday...she also loves to sit up and stand when she's awake she wants to be looking around and gets mad if she's laying flat...lol...how's Alex doing? Is she wearing the newborn/0-3 month clothes yet? Kenzie is still a little too small....Kristine...I can't believe your 30 weeks already, where has the time gone...March is so close now...are you planning on having your little girl in your room in the beginning? We still having officially finished our nursary, but will have to do it now as dh's real mom is coming in from Cali in two weeks and needs to stay in there...okie back to work :) yippe one day till disney

Alex sleeps with me in my bed at night, but sleeps in her crib or ba__sinette (sp) during the day. She is a little over 2-months old now (2m5d). She is in between 0-3/3months sizes... some of the 0-3 are too short in the legs and the 3 months are too long... LOL! We can't win. But I went to Target on Monday and bought terry cloth jammies with the feet on-sale for $6... I bought 4 of them! But I bought them as 3 month size -- so she can grow into, then out of! ••••• COOKIE: WOW! 1 year already! I have never been to Disney World. I have always wanted to go. Had a trip all planned for Nov of 2001, but the 911 happened and I canceled my trip. I have been to Disneyland about 8 times in the last 23 years and CA adventure once.... so it is time that I get to FL... I have never been to FL! Have fun on Friday! It should be nice to have a full night of sleep. I am so envious!

Cookie - January 22

Hi Girls, well we had a good time at Disney...but I missed Mackenzie like crazy....every baby I saw reminded me of her...The night of sleep was totally worth it though....I just found out this morning that my god child is a little boy!!!! his name will be Everett (sp?)...i'm so excited...and my SIL who had the ms last march is having a little girl..Brianna Lynn....it's so funny that my SIL and my Best Friend both have the same due date

Kristine - January 22

Cookie, How far along is your SIL? Sounds like Disney was fun. I haven't slept through the night in a few months. lol ------------The heartburn is getting to me. I had to stop the Zantac because it was making me short of breath. Michelle, I was leary of taking the Milk of Magnesia because it says laxative on it.

NVgirl - January 23

KRISTINE: For the Milk of Magnesia only take 1 tsp --- any more than that will give you the runs. ••••• COOKIE: Glad you had a great time! Josh and I are going to San Jose, CA where my parents live for my birthday in a couple of weeks and to show off Alex to friends and family. My mother said if we come in on Thursday night --- she’d take care of Alex so we could sleep in. I AM TOTALLY TRYING TO CONVINCE JOSH OF THE OPPORTUNITY!!! ••••• Hope all is well with you guys.

NVgirl - January 27

KRISTINE: Have fun on Sunday!!! I hope you get everything you wanted!! --- Email pictures, ok... I want to see you and your tummy and all your wonderful presents!

Kristine - January 27

You must have read my mind! I was thinking DH will have to help me email you some pics. I need you ladies when you have a chance to email me on my personal email so I can save your email addresses. This morning I'm off into the frigid temperatures to get my eyebrows threaded and then off to the florist. I want to order my mom, sis and MIL a bouquet as a thank you for the shower tomorrow. Then I'm off in search of curtains for the nursery. Everything is so surreal. I was tearing up at the doc's office yesterday thinking about all that's gone on the past year and a half and how I've made it this far. My biggest wish is for DH and I to have a healthy baby girl soon. Have a nice weekend ladies!!!!

NVgirl - January 29

KRISTINE: How was your baby shower??? We need details. AND you aren't lucky --- your baby girl was meant to be.... her soul was in you the entire time --- she just needed time... and these last 7 months were what she was waiting for --- and come March she will look at you with her loving eyes and you will just know!

NVgirl - January 29

just know that you were meant to be her mother.... !!!

Kristine - January 30

Ladies, the day was amazing. I almost cried when walking in. Email me at work with your email addresses so I can send you a few pics. I got alot from my registry but also tons of outfits. I only have a couple of returns to make and a few things to pick up like the crib mattress, swing, diapers, etc. My sister did a fantastic job. The tables had a fairy figure for a centerpiece and lavender rose petals surrounding the fairy. The favors were chocolate bars with a white chocolate stork on them. My friends at work got me the cutest baby lamb rocker from Pottery Barn. The cake was so gorgeous, very simple and elegant. It had lavender fondant and lemon, raspberry cake for the inside.
