Hello all, I am new to this site but have read through all the posts relating to this topic. I am now more confused because I don't know if what I had just experienced is implantation bleeding. My husband and I have been trying to conceive (TTC) for 2 years or more and have been to a fertility clinic to see what the problem was. It turns out that there is low sperm count and abnormal motility so we were told the only way we could conceive was to do a method similar to invitro called ICSI (this is where they have to take the egg and the sperm(s) and implant into the egg and then wait for fertilization before they place the egg back inside me. Anyway, I was given this option in June 2010 and since then we have been trying to save for the procedure (average costs $8,000-$10,000). My question for all you ladies is that, I last had my period on Sept 29 and it lasted until Monday Oct 4, 2010. I am on a 30-31 day cycle so I am not due again until Oct 29th but for some reason I had bleeding on Oct 18th which was weird because this never happens. I have been late over a week in the past but never 2 weeks early. The period this time was very different, it only lasted 2 days with light bleeding just enough to wear a pantyliner. There was no clotting or heavy flow and only showed when I wiped. By the second day, there was hardly nothing on the pad except for brown spotting and light pink when I wiped (sorry for being so graphic but thought this would help other woman who are going through the same thing). Took the home pregnancy test (hpt) and it came back negative. Have another which I am going to take when my period is due on the 29th. Could I possibly be pregnant? I really hope so because it would be a miracle if I am :)

i had a period october 5th and was schedule to start november 3rd today is now the 5th and since yesterday ive been having light brown and dark red sometimes almost blackish and then today the same but now today i also have pinkish mixed with discharge and bright red ive had no cramping id put a pad on and theres just alittle brown but then i start to bleed bright red so i put a tampon in and few hrs later i check and theres not alot on there and its one or 2 of the colors i described above can i be pregnant? or is it just a weird period? i also will bleed alittle after s_x im so confused theres alittle sensitivity during s_x but not that bad just alittle discomfort does anyone know what this could be am i pregnant or is it just a really light period? i usually have a heavy flow so this is weird

I have been TTC with my husband for 2 years or more and due to low sperm count and low motility, I have been told we can only conceive through IVF (Invitro). Well last night as I was online researching again as I still have not had my period and I am now 8 days late, I found this website where you can buy early detection pregnancy tests for really inexpensive prices ($1.07/each) and free shipping if you buy at least $15 dollars to Canada and US. Anyway, they have a new early detection test that has 10 miu/ml HCG Sensitivity which will help you determine if you are pregnant as early as 6 DPO. Based on what I have read, many women who used these test strips and ovulation test strips if you have irregular periods have been very successful in conceiving. They also have great vitamins for both women and men (FertilAid) and FertileCM for Enhanced Cervical Mucus. I have just ordered 15 test strips and am currently waiting for the shipment to arrive. The good thing about these test strips is that you can test to your hearts content because they are so inexpensive. I have bought a 3 pack Clear Blue HPT and a 2 pack Clear Blue digital test and just tested again this morning with the digital. It came back Negative "again"... I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on my body and making me feel certain symptoms but I feel like I am pregnant. I have NEVER had a mid cycle light period and my period has never lasted on 2 days with no severe cramping. I am extremely tired all the time and whatever is happening to my body has really changed my sleeping cycles. I have had insomnia for as long as I can remember and over the last 2 weeks, I can barely stay up past midnight. I also can't sleep past 9 am in the morning and this doesn't happen to me as I love to sleep. I guess my advice to all the women who are wondering if they are pregnant but have missed a period is to buy the early detection pregnancy tests. If you not trying to conceive and think you are pregnancy and just want piece of mind, this test should give you a pretty accurate reading. For those who are trying to conceive and want to know right away, these test strips will definitely be worth every penny. Google early pregnancy tests as I can't post their website address on this post. I will repost again after I get my shipment of test strips and will update you all on my results. Hi i am new to this i am just wondering i had my period 15th October cycle goes for 30 days. yesterday monday was 9dpo and i had a light pink to a red discharge only on the TP i have been feeling sick, tired/exhausted, craving bananas and ice cream.. i am no due for my period until saturday. i dont know what to do me and my b/f have only been together for 3months. any ideas would help me thnx :)

Hello Devine_1976, thanks for your post and I do hope I have a bun in the oven as well. I went to my doctor 2 days ago and had him do a blood test. He looked at my chart and was surprised when I told him that I thought I might have gotten pregnant naturally as I was not planning on starting Invitro until next month. He said that he has also heard of many couples where there is male infertility and the woman got pregnant naturally. I explained that I had already taken 3 home pregnancy tests and they call came back negative, his first thought was that I shouldn't be pregnant. I told him that I have never missed a period for this long before and that I have never had these kinds of pregnancy symptoms. The doctor said that some women who have been trying to have a baby for a long time sometimes trick their bodies into experiencing "Imaginary Pregnancy Symptoms"...this is of course not the correct medical term. Anyway, I am now just playing the waiting game so I will let you all know what the test result say when I get them back. :)

Ok so I found the proper term for Imaginary Pregnancy Symptoms and it's called "Pseudocyesis". Pseudocyesis is the medical term for a false pregnancy. Pseudocyesis can cause many of the signs and symptoms of pregnancy, and often resembles the condition in every way except for the presence of a fetus.

HI ITS ME AGAIN JUST WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT THOWS CHEAP PREGNANCY TEST YOU CAN BUY ON THE INTERNET THE 10ML DONT ALWAYS WORK. IF YOU READ UP ON THEM ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE SAID THAT EVEN IF YOU ARE PREGNANT IT SHOWS NEGATIVE OR A REAL FAINT LINE THAT YOU CANT REALY SEE. DONT GET ME WRONG ITS GREAT IF YOU GO THROUGH ALOT OF THEM WHEN TRYING BECOUSE THEY ARE CHEAP BUT IF YOU REALY THINK YOU ARE PREGNANT GET A FIRST RESPONSE JUST TO COMFIRM.

Hello Devine_1976: So I called my doctor on Friday to get my results and it came back negative (less than 2mg found in my system)...I was disappointed but thought maybe there is still a possibility of being pregnant. Anyway, late Saturday night I started getting cramps similar to the kind I get before I go on my period and then noticed that I was lightly bleeding. Based on my last regular cycle which was Sept 29th and the last time I was spotting (Oct 19th), I was not expecting to get my period again until at least Nov 19th. Well my period got heavier but not as heavy as my normal period. It seems like it's starting to trail off again and it's only been 2 days of light bleeding. I have no idea what is going on with my body anymore... I am going to keep trying and order pre seed lubricant so we can try again when I ovulate again this month. Sorry I didn't have good news but I am going to keep staying positive. Keep your hopes up as well ladies :)

Hello Devine_1976 i went to doctors yesterday because my period still hasn't arrived she suspects that i am pregnant. When i got up this morning(AEST) and i had my morning coffee and getting ready to go for my blood test and i bolted for the toilet i was about to bring my coffee back up thank god i made it in time. i am hoping to find the results out this afternoon fingers crossed :)

Hi Lynda tests came back fine i was 5days late wen i took the blood test. it came back with hcg in my blood but not enough to get an accurate reading. The pathology said its to early to tell so i have to go for another blood test and an ultrasound. :)
