My dr. stripped my membranes yesterday because I'm overdue and my baby was 8 lbs, 10 ozs over a week ago...this morning I lost my mucos plug....I'm excited because I'm ready for this to be over. It was like whitish, yellow with like a tinged bloody show. VERY GROSS!!!!

My mucus plug was a clear yellowish color untill I went into labor and my cervix opened up and it started bleeding!

mine just started to come out a little bit at a time and it looked like a thick snot. there was no blood with this one but my second child it didn't come out at all. my first child it was a little brownish red.But the doctor said it is different for every pregnancy and is not really an indicator as to when you will go into labor. could be tomorrow or 3 weeks from now.

As far as I know, I'm not pregnant...I had my period last month. But I'm about 2 and a half weeks into my cycle, and a quarter sized clear/pinkish GLOB of mucus came out of me last night and I'm not sure why. It's happened only once before. I'm not sure if it's a mucus plug, but it was definitely not common for my body!

To sum 1, during half my pregnancy I noticed all types of discharge. Mostly clear stringy discharge but white discharge also involved. I don't think you have anything to worry about. When there's pregnancy so is discharge. I just think of it as lub for the baby :o)

what does it mean when u loss the mucus plug and then 3 days later u still have like regular discharge not the glob u seen before...is that normal???

The discharge could be from bacteria. I had that recently and was given an overnight medication that corrected it. Also, to share my ordeal, I'm 40 weeks with 4th child. 3 prior children all delivered prior to 38 weeks. With this one, I've been dilated, now 3 cm for 3 weeks, almost fully effaced, she's at -1 station and lost my mucus plug 4 days ago...STILL NOTHING! My doctor is amazed that I'm still walking around. So, long story short, you just never know when labor is going to start. Sometimes....it feels like it will never start. Oh, by the way, I've had false labor pretty much every day for over a month. This last one is making sure she gets noticed!

i am 38 weeks and i lost my mucous plug 2 days ago. it started of red to brown. i think it was red b/c i had my exam. but it started out with just when i went to the bathroom i would wipe up snot looking discharge to being on my underwear to leaking through my underwear. totally gross. the color changes to brown light brown yellow to pink. i think from the weekly exams too. i was 1.5 dilated and 80 effaced. now i am 1 dilated and 50 effaced. i am so fustrated. but the mucous is stilling coming out more and more.

I think I have released my mucous plug but not sure. I saw it in the toliet after I got done going to the bathroom. It looked like snot with a yellow/ brown tint. Should I be worried since I am only 35 weeks.
