Pregnancy Risk Factors

Luckily, there are some pregnancy risks factors that women can avoid in order to increase the chances of having a healthy pregnancy and child. Indeed, exposure to toxins such as cigarettes and alcohol is likely to affect both the mother as well as the baby's health, the consequences of which may have lasting effects in the future.  There are also certain foods to avoid when pregnant to ensure a healthy and safe delivery of your baby. Ultrasounds and blood tests during pregnancy can also help to keep an eye on your baby's development and watch for any signs of pregnancy complications.  Many complications can be handled early on before they develop into serious problems for you or your baby.  Be sure to have regular check ups with your doctor throughout your pregnancy.

Pregnancy Complications

Even if a mother avoids exposure to potentially dangerous substances, other unexpected pregnancy complications

may arise. Knowing some of the signs and symptoms of these pregnancy concerns can help ensure early diagnosis and treatment of these potentially harmful conditions.  Also, be sure to get regular check ups during your pregnancy so that your doctor can watch for signs of common pregnancy complications like preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, or a low birth weight baby.

Hi everyone! I am 32 years old and I and my husband have been TTC for 2 years. In the past 2 years we have tried almost everything from medications to IVF but never got any success. Once I did get pregnant only to have a miscarriage afterward. All these failures to conceive left me in depression and low self-esteem until a friend of my suggested a surrogacy clinic in Ukraine. I contacted them and they assured me that they would make my dreams come true. They even paid for the accommodation and traveling cost and recently told me that they had found a match for me. I am super excited about it and thought to share it with you guys.

I'm going on two months with no period and I have pretty much all the symptoms. My nipples hurt and my boobs seem more vainy, I've been extremely tired, emotional, nausea, dizziness, always feeling hot ,etc. The thing is after a month of missing my period I went to the doctor and had a negative pregnancy test. I have an appointment on December 12th and this will be my second missed period. I truly think I am pregnant,I'm going through things I've never felt before Idk what to do

I am 38 going on 39 and should be 8 weeks pregnant. This is my first pregnancy and when I went to my appointment the doctor told me she sees a baby, but one that is only 5 weeks along. I am pretty freaked out because she said it my baby could have stopped growing and that I need another appointment next week to check again. I get so confused as how pregnancy time is calculated and was trying to figure out if maybe it is possible I am 5 weeks. But my LMP started on 8/26 and since today is 10/24 that puts me at 8 weeks. I am scared I am going to miscarry. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?
