Hi, the recommeded weight gain depends on your height and weight prior to the pregnancy. If you are considered clinically obese (BMI>30) your recommended weight gain by the end of gestation is 15 lbs max. If you are only overweight and not obese your weight gain can be slighly greater...but still considerably less than the recommended 25-35 lb range for normal weight women

hi dallas mommy - from my experience i noticed that salt makes a HUGE difference with my weight - I have never had to watch sodium before but just through simple awareness ...like picking low salt peanut b___ter, swiss cheese instead of cheddar, organic milk - just looking for ways to easily cut back on salt - my weight has balanced out some. Also, I totally understand the lack of energy, but you just have to force yourself to walk and say ok only 10 mins and usually it feels good so it turns into longer. Also- the idea of an easier labor helps motivate me to exercise. But if you can only make yourself do 10 mins - that is better than nothing...good luck :0)
