i have two kids already and i at one time seem to be very fertile. i got pregnant at 13 then had a miscarriage. Then pregnant again at 14 gave birth then at 18 i got pregnant. I used birth control off and on the longest i would say was a year. i stop using the patch the end of April and have been trying. I mean every night at least once a night. But still nothing. I know two months is not a long time but my husband really wants another child. So my question is how long does it take to get pregnant after using the patch?? and does the 72 hour pill (which i used on a couple occasions)lessen the chance of getting pregnant again??

First of all, having s_x every night can decrease you husband's sperm count. So, I would say to have s_x every other night or 3 nights a week. You need to chart your fertility signs as well to know when you are ovulating. Go to www.webwomb.com for information. Birth control can affect your body in different ways. It takes some women longer than others to conceive after getting off of BC. Remember, for most women, pregnancy can happen during 2-3 days out of the month. You really need to know when you are ovulating so you can have s_x during these times. And, just because you have s_x when you are fertile does not mean that you will become pregnant. These things take time and your body will become pregnant when it is ready. It is not unlikely or abnormal for a healthy couple to take up to one year to conceive. Hang in there and good luck!
