Hello, just wondered if I could ask your opinion. The first day of my last period was 27th December and it ended on the 31st. I have a normal regular cycle. This month for the first time ever I had some ovulation bleeding. I also had some blood when wiping last night and the night before (just one instance both times 24 hours apart). The first one was old blood and the second one was fresh blood. I also felt some dull tension like really mild menstrual cramps for two days. My period is due on the 23rd January. When would you test? I'm dying to but worried I'll be too soon and I'll be disappointed.

I should add that as the spotting is 5/6 days before my period is due that I believe this may be implantation bleeding. The cramping tension has now gone.

You must be ttc. There's not much point in testing before your period is due. Try Sunday morning first pee in the morning and be prepared to run a second test a week later in case the hCG hormone is not rising fast enough. More frequent peeing, upset gut, breast and nip signs, smells and appetite changes would be other things to look for.
