Does anyone here know much about NeoNatal Nursing? I am planning on attending college in the fall to study to become a NeoNatal Nurse, and I do not know too much about it other than they take care of newborns in the nursery at the hostpital. If you can help me out this would be great.

That's what my husband's sister does. She really enjoys her job. I don't think she started out as a NeoNatal nurse, but that's what she does now. She has all kinds of cute stories to tell us. I think that is a preemie nurse? Anyways, best of luck to you!

Thank you Maureen. As far as I know a NeoNatal Nurse cares for preemie's and on time babies.

you have to go through like 4 years of college and become a regular nurse before becoming a NeoNatal nurse....but I could be wrong. Good luck!

Yes, my sister-in-law went through College first and then worked as a Nurse afterwards in a hospital and when there was an opening, (which is very hard to get into because all the nurses want it she told me), you apply for it in the same hospital you work in. Well, that's what she did anyways. I Hope this helps.
