Wow, I really must be a regular now! :-) Yes, my son is home now. He came home on Monday. I posted a question about BebeSounds SIDS moitor announcing his homecoming. I also have pictures of his first day at home http://www.piczo.com/rebeccah0326?g=19717076&cr=1. He's doing pretty good, except he seems to sleep more during the day than at night. He's still getting fed every 3 hours, except now I wait til he starts crying to feed him. At the hospital, they would force him to eat even if he didn't want to, and there's no way I'm doing that to him. He is having diarrhea issues now b/c the doctor at the NICU switched him from Neosure to Similac the day we took him home. I am going to post a question about this if it doesn't clear up soon. Thanks for asking, Lisa! *MWAH!*

Me too, Lisa, me too. We decided to take Bradyn to the ER Sunday night because I saw blood when I wiped his booty. After 2 blood tests, 2 x rays a stool sample and 6 hours in the hospital, we find out that he has a bacterial infection... from the NICU. I'm not sure how this can happen, but apparently, he got a special infection because of all the antibiotics he was on while in the hospital. He's on a certain kind now to help clear it up, but NOW he has a really bad diaper rash. :-( poor guy

I sure will, FF, what did you do for Brody (Love the name btw, my dh's name is Brady)? I have slopped a bunch of Balmex on him every time we change him, but his diarrhea is so bad, it washes off every time he farts! I tried to put him tummy down on a pad with no diaper (to try to air it out) but he didn't like that very much. I just don't know what else to do for my poor baby. It's so painful for him!

Beccah, try leaving his diaper off, and wrapping him in a towel or blanket that you wont mind getting dirty. His bum will breath better than in a diaper, and you wont have a mess everywhere. Then snuggle him, or lay him down for a nap. Polysporin (I say this all the time), works miracles on rashes and bum ouches. If he's got bad diarreah, then chances are his tummy is sore too. So maybe dont lay him on his tummy to air his little bum out. Poor little Bradyn! I hope he feels better soon, and that his infection goes away quickly! Other than that, is he doing okay? Any bradys at home? On the other thread, you posted that he was over 7lbs? That is great! He must be doing so well, and you must be doing a great job!

I followed up at his pediatrition today because of the ER visit, and he's 8.2#'s (with a clean diaper on)!!!! That's a good idea with the towel thing. I live in Louisiana and one product that's highly recommended is Boudroux's B___t Paste. I'm going to try that too. What is Polysporin? Is it like Neosporin? He's been on his antibiotics for a day now, and his poops are looking MUCH better. I am so happy that he seems to be feeling better.
