Well Kales doc wants to see him at 3 months to check up on his weight. But I think I am going to get a second opinion about his weight. I mean he has only gained 5 lbs since birth...to me that is not that bad. He has to understand that he is giong to weigh more because he weighed 10 lbs at birth. But he is a doc that does the charting and expects all baby's to be the same...but not all baby's are the same. He said they should double their birth weight by 5 months triple it by 9 months and only weigh 20 lbs at a year old. Well if Kale would triple his birth weight at 9 months he would weigh 30 lbs and he only wants him to weigh 20 by a year. I don't understand!!! It is starting to make me mad.

my dd was 5lbs 6oz. at birth ( she was 6 weeks premature) she was 2 mos. on 2-16 and at her appt. she weighed in at 11lbs 5oz..and by the way, selena- i agree with you, it was very heartbreaking to watch her get all those shots.. poor thing, she still isn't right from that.

My son was 14lbs 6oz at two months and 8lbs 3oz at birth (almost 38 weeks along). He's lost a bit due to illness. I can't remember what my other son was for sure at that age, but I know he was close to 14-15lbs. He's not overweight now (he's 7 years old) by any stretch of the imagination...he's a bean pole, lol! I wouldn't worry if your baby is 'big'. It DOESN'T mean they'll be overweight.

My daughter was 5 weeks early. She weighed 5 lbs 7 1/2 oz. At 6 weeks, she was 8 lbs 2 oz and at 12 weeks, she was 11 lbs 10 oz. I am wondering what is normal for a 6 month old girl to weigh? I only starting feeding her solids at 5 1/2 months, and she is formula fed.

ds was born 3 weeks early and was 7.9 at birth and 20 1/2 inches. at his 2 months, he was 12.8 and 22 inches, and at his 4 months (he'll be 5 months on saturday) he was 15.12 and 25 inches, so he is growing really well..i though he would weigh more because everyone always tells me what a big baby he is! his torso is lean, but he has rolly arms and legs and big cheeks...i call him my little no neck cause his head looks like it just sits on his shoulders..lol

my boy was 15 lbs and 24 3/4 in at his 2 mo check up. he's 11 weeks now and 25 in and over 16 lbs. He eats like crazy though. My first son was the total opposite, in fact, he's in the 10th percintile in his weight and height, and my 2nd son is in the 90th and 95th percentile in weight and height! haha
