This is my 2nd baby, and they say that the baby will usually drop during labor with the 2nd one but today I have had alot of stretching pains in my round ligaments that wont go away and have frequent urges to go to the bathroom, even if nothing comes out. I know its not a UTI cuz I was just in to see my doc yesterday, so Im just wondering if this could mean the baby is dropping or what?

hi Ashlie, I'm at 38 wks and my baby has been dropped for about 2 weeks now. The way I knew is that whenever I'd walk, I'd have this really strong pressure in my pelvic area.

i also have the strong pressure in my pelvic, or "groin" area... usually when i sit down, or walk, or just stand. Also, if I'm laying down and get up i have a lot of pressure. My belly b___ton also points down now, instead of straight out (i have an "innie" but my stomach is tilted downward now)

I was told in your second pregnancy it could be two or three days until labor starts after dropping. Any one else heard of this? My dr. just confirmed I have dropped and I'm 39 weeks today!! Hopefully I dropped two days ago, and tonights the night!!

Hi I feel the same I am 37 weeks and this is my second, I just had my midwife checkup and my baby is down but not engaged or fixed in position, I feel like I need to go to the bathroom all the time and most of the time only a dribble comes out it also feels like there is somthing up there. I was 1 cm dialated last tuesday but did not get checked this time.

I had an ultrasound done today (38wks) and the babies head isnt even in the birth ca___l yet so I guess the little stinker hasnt dropped yet but thats okay, they are inducing me next week so yeah! :)
