No one should really be doing this! However I do know how it is done, if you really want to know. Please make sure that you wash your hands and don't do it often. If you are under 37 weeks this can trigger labor and infection if you introduce bacteria from your hands into the v____a. I got yelled at when I told my doc that I was a finger tip opened. She checked and said yes you are how did you know that. I told her I had checked myself. She gave me the above explanation of why not to do it yourself. But here it is none the less. The easiest is while sitting on the toilet. One leg raised up onto the toilet seat. You then insert your pointer and middle finger into the v____a and go back toward your rectum. Straight back you will feel somthing that kind of feels like the tip of your nose. In my case it's kind of puckered from having had a previous baby. One finger tip = one cm. Two = two cm. so on and so forth. It can be hard to reach so you may not find it. Remember I don't encourage this in anyway I am simply answering a question that I so desperatley had wondered myself. Good luck!

Also, don't be fooled, you can be wide open on the outside, but closed farther up, and they count that as closed.
