I'm the same 37 weeks and 2 cm dilated. One midwife said she'd be suprised if I didn't deliver this week and another laughed and said I could still end up being over due!!! Very confused and the anticipation is killing me!! LOL. Good luck!

Hi Jazz~ I am going on 37 weeks in 3 days and pretty sure I lost my plug and I am dilated to 1 and everyone kept saying you'll go early and when the doctor was doing my exam he said my cervix is so thick it want be no time soon. DARN!! I am due July the 25 I do have one thing to look forward to though I know I dont have to worry about going over because they are going to indue me that day. As far as how long it takes its so hard to determine with my first pregnancy I dilated to 1 and she was nearly 2 weeks late and I was still one when they induced me, but when I finally dilated to 5 I went from 5to 10 in 15 minutes.

I am also 37 weeks due 7/20. I am dilated to 4cm. 10 days ago I was at a 3. I was told that it doesn't mean diddly squat. You can be dilated like that for weeks or go into labor very soon. I also lost my mucus plug last night. I'm really hoping it happens this weekend. I figure at least we got that part of dilation down already.

I think you all are lucky I am 1 day overdue and still am not dialated at all and am only 25% effaced, and I had an amnio done and more advanced ultrasound so I was hoping since they have extended my due date twice that it would be more accurate but i think now that it is more a matter of when your baby wants to come not when you want them to I have two other children and went 2 weeks over with both so good luck to all of you and congradulations
