Dilated For 3 Weeks And No Change

At my 38 week exam I was told I was dilated 1-2 cm but not effaced. As of today I am 41 weeks and no labor, and at the last 2 exams there was very little to no change with the dilation. I have an exam tomorrow but I'm not very hopeful because it's been 3 weeks and I haven't had any other labor signs other than occasional inconsistent contractions, and the fact that the baby dropped around 35 weeks. I haven't had a bloody show or water breaking, but I have consistently lost a lot of mucus for the past few weeks. This is my first baby. Should I expect that I'll wind up being induced at this point? I'm now a week past my due date and I'm feeling very frustrated and discouraged.

I am pretty much in the same boat. I was due on 2/25. My doctor has scheduled to induce me on 3/10 if the baby does not arrive by then. Keep your fingers crossed for me and I will do the same for you. Good luck!!

I was 9 days late with my first baby; 10 days late with the second. I had labor induced the second time around but the first time they just let me go. It's the hardest thing in the world to wait, but hang in there. Induction isn't the most fun thing, but neither is waiting. Incidentally, I'm expecting my 6th daughter any day now! So the agony isn't forever and you may even do it again and again!! Best of Luck!
