Excessive Bleeding After Delivery Of Baby And Placenta

Shortly after the delivery of my second daughter, I suffered from a Post Partum Haemorrhage. I lost over 1000ml of blood and needed blood transfusions. My body was shutting down as I lay there bleeding. Fortunately I received the appropriate treetment and all turned out fine. We are pregnant with our third, and I believe there is a high chance that I will have a bleed such as this again. I would be really interested in hearing from anyone who has suffered a PPH and then gone on to deliver again!. My understanding is that as this has happened once I am at a higher risk of it happening again, they think it occurred because she ws delivered really quickly. Any experiences to share ????

Yes, you are at a higher risk of it happening again. Just make sure you tell your dr and the nurses prior to delivery, so they can try to prevent it from happening. Good luck to you.

I HAD SOMETHING LIKE THAT HAPPEN TO ME BUT THE DOC LEFT SOME OF THE PLACENTA INSIDE ME. ONCE HE REMOVED IT, THE BLEEDING AND PAIN STOPPED. HE DIDN'T WANNA FESS UP THAT HE MESSED UP
