My first was born 2hrs and 15 minutes after arriving at the hospital. Now everyone jokes with me to get to the hospital right away the second I feel pain. I have heard that the 2nd is usually quicker and easier as long as there are no complications......anyone have stories to share? I'm a little nervous I'm afraid I'll be one of those back of the cab deliveries...

I know exactly how you feel because my daughter came in 1 1/2 hours flat...so I am nervous about it as well. My doctor is going to induce me a week or two early to try and avoid delivering at home or on the way to the hospital. But I still can't help but be scared if I go on my own before then. I guess we will see!...lol

That's funny lawlady72 because I am one who gave birth to my daughter in the back of a taxi on my way to drop my daughter off to the sitter. I gave birth to my first daughter on January 15th 2006-My water broke, went to the hospital and I was in labor for 7 hours...then came my second daughter, I gave birth to her February 16th 2007 and it wasn't more than an hour from when my water broke to when I was pushing her out in the back of that cab...I was prepared but there just wasn't enough time....You never know....

YIKES - I so do not want to be induced...I went completely natural the first time and if the second time is supposed to easier I can't imagine even having time to make a decision about it.... My DD was one week early . Ah well, why stress now it won't do anything, whats going to happen is going to happen. Sher, did the driver flip???

He sure did, at first. He couldn't believe someone was delivering in his cab. He actually was trying to get me to get out of the cab. After I gave birth to her he got emotional, tears and all after witnessing the birth of my daughter. He did receive money to get his car cleaned, LOL, that's the least I could have done. I didn't get induced for either girls. Even though I gave birth to my second daughter in a taxi, it was the best delivery ever, no drugs or st_tches. That's the way to go.

Yeah I was completely natural with my daughter too, no epidural, no drugs. I don't want to be induced either because I know it makes the labor alot worse but I also don't want to have my fiancee delivering our baby....he is WAY to queasy. I don't even think he would be able to watch it in the hospital without fainting...lol. Sher...who delivered? Was there police or any emergency people? That is such am awesome story to be able to share with people...lol. I thought being able to tell me I had my daughter in an hour and a half was neat....lol. Well this is going to be interesting to see. Oh and sher, are you having anymore babies?

On the way to sitter I told me sister to call EMS and by the time I was pushing they still weren't there. My sister had to call them at least three times because I was already pushing. By the time EMS came her head was out. I just had to push once more once they were there. They wrapped her up and clamped me and took me to the nearest hospital. Thank God they came on time. I am not planning on having any more. I love my two girls dearly but they are more than a handful and what will happen next time, I will deliver at home? No thank you.

How many months are you Preggo? Will this be your second and if so how far apart? Maybe I gave birth so soon because my kids are only 13 months apart.

Sher, what an amazing story! My next door neighbour is 77 now, but she has some amazing stories. She had 6 babies, and each one came faster than the one before. The first one, she was picked up by an ambulance and had him in the bus. The last one, she was upstairs, went into labour, walked down the stairs and had him right there at the foot of the stairs!
