Fasting Before You Are Induced

Hi ladies. My doctor wants to induce me by next Tuesday at 4pm if baby isn't born before then. The nurses told me not to eat/drink anything (not even H2O) after midnight the day before. Since I'm being induced at 4pm..doesn't that seem like a long time to go without anything? I would think you need a little energy. any thoughts from veteran moms would be great!!! Thanks in advance.

i was induced with my last baby but i didnt fast i should think water is allowed surely maybe double check i think they ask you to fast if you having a c-section

I was induced with 2 of my 3 children and yes you are not to eat anything after midnight the night be4.... But they did mine at 6am..... I think it is so many hrs be4 being induced but not for sure, maybe you should try to get it done earlier in the day.... ask the dr or nurse about fasting.... GOOD LUCK!

I was induced at 8AM with both of mine and I was also told nothing after midnight. I ate a huge dinner around 6 or so to carry me over though. I was allowed to have Sprite and water during my labor though.
