Hi everyone. I was just wondering, for those of you who have gone into labor on your own, did you notice any difference in the amount of fetal movement right before or around the time your labor started or your waters broke? Of course I know that's not a predictable way to know when labor will start, i'm just curious as to how your little ones acted right before. thanks!! :)

This is what I'm trying to find out as well! Sorry I don't have the answer, I've been trying to research the same topic for a few days now and am finding almost no info about it. I am 36 weeks and the doctor says she could come any day now. I've been having cramping and such with some type of contractions, but my baby moves around allot other times, so I just don't know what to think! I hope someone else posts on this with some kind of info. If I find out, I'll let you know!

Sorry I don't have loads of information on the topic, but I do know that once the baby's head is engaged the baby won't move as much or be as vigorous. My baby has already slowed down ALOT, she was super active before but now she only really moves in the morning and at night, I think she must be nocturnal, hope she grows out of that one! lol In the book 'What To Expect When You're Expecting' they say that one of the ways of telling the difference between Braxton Hicks contractions and the real ones is that a baby's movements often intensify with Braxton Hicks, so possibly that means that babies are usually quiet during labor? Hope that helps a little, sorry I don't know anymore!! Good luck! ;)

My baby girl is 3 wks old and I was so focused on the contractions but it seems like I remember her moving around a little during early labor when the contractions weren't as bad but the more intense they got the less she moved around to the point that I don't remember feeling her move while in active labor and definitely not during delivery.Hope that helps and good luck.
