Okay so this is the situation -
Me, and my now ex-girlfriend had s_xual relations once.
The was feb 15th -
She fell pregnant, had the child january 10th. 329 days/47weeks later.
Is this possible? Or is she lying and did have relations with somebody else? What do you think?
She said I was her only one - This is all the info I have.
Thanks

usually doctors will induce WAY before 47 weeks. yea..way before. I dont think she was that far along. I think she lied.

from everything i've read and heard 47 weeks would be WAY too long for a child to stay in the womb. the placenta starts to weaken the further along you get, and that puts the baby in a lot of danger. i don't know of any doctor who lets their patients go past 42 weeks. if i were you i would request a paternity test, if you only had s_x that one time, i don't think the baby is yours.

Thanks. Now, would it be possible that she would fall pregnant like a week or more after we were together?

The most doctors will usually let a pregnancy go is 42 weeks...i think she's lying.

yes . sperm can live inside the body for a few days.but still..the pregnancy gestation is determined by lmp usually...and if u had s_x when u said ..she farthest she coulda have been like 46 weeks along..but I doubt its yours.

for all intensive purposes Lets say her LMP was Feb 1st then.. her due date would of been 7th of November!!! No way she went until January 10th.

even if you had s_x Feb 15th at the VERY latest she could of gotten pregnant 4-5 days later.. But doubtful

If you had s_x with her in February she should've had the baby in November not January. She must've gotten herself pregnant in April. So she's gotta be lying to you.

It is not possible to have a child at 47 weeks, 42 maybe, but not 47 weeks. Normally doctors don't let you go past 42 weeks due to heath issues the baby can acc_mulate. How is the health of the baby. The only thing I can suggest is that you get a paternity test if she is so sure you are the father.

Actually - while being very rare and probably not very likely in this day and age - it is possible to carry a baby longer !! My mother carried me for a full year!! I was due to be born in July but was born middle October. Doctors noticed I had stopped growing at 12 weeks and she was booked in for a d&c. Nurse did an ultrasound just before and there was a heartbeat. Basically I went into hibernation for 3 months before I started to grow again and she then went on to have a perfectly normal pregnancy. BUT this was 35 years ago and I've never heard of any other similar cases . I would certainly recommend a paternity test, it seems highly unlikely !

Sorry - I am being very serious. I was born in a very small village with very old fashioned doctors. I think when that it is the case people accept it easier and don't bother. This was 35 years ago, att_tudes were different, people were very private with their lives. I quizzed my parents and dr long and hard about it and were it not for the fact that it was in my very old tattered dr's notes my present dr wouldn't believe it either!
