I M So Confused Mucus Plug HELP

Okay so I've been noticing for the last few days this stringy, clear discharge that I figured was my mucus plug. But this morning I woke up to a brownish, stringy discharge in my panty liner... when I wiped there was more stringy stuff but with blood on it. What is that? Do you know how soon after this happens I'll go into labor. I've been having contractions for a few days now, but I keep thinking she's never going to come. I'm 38w3d
