I am 37 wks. with my third child. I am having a lot of preterm labor and on a lot of meds. I have a c- section scheduled for 1.5 wks., but is it safe to jumpstart labor now?

i've been told 37 weeks is considered to be full term so i am sure it is safe

The doc told me that if its a boy, then the male organs are better the longer it is there, so it would be safer to wait another week.. Plus the lungs are developed, but still u never know, my friend delivered then and her baby was still a lil under developed, so just do what u think and feel is necessary..

well i had my baby at 30 weeks and she was only in itu for 1 day and she had to stay in hospital for 4 weeks just to be on the safe side but the doctors told me that if she was born at 34 weeks i would of been able to take her home so at 37 weeks i think that your baby would be fine love ray xxx

Amber is right 37 wks is full term. I would trust your doctor, if he thinks the baby is ready then go with it!
