Hi everyone. I had a discharge today that I wasn't sure about, so I just wanted to get some opinions on it. I'm 25 weeks and have not had any type of discharge like this at all, until today. I felt like I was leaking/starting a period/like pee was coming out (sorry so graphic) well, i went to bathroom to urinate, and when I wiped I had a big glob of sticky, clear, snotty looking stuff, about the size of a quarter, that easily stretched from one side of the toilet paper to the other. There was no pain or smell associated with it. I thought maybe it could be pregnancy discharge because I read that some where, but when I started researching ... I came across mucus plug ... could I have lost it this early or do you think I am just beginning to experience pregnancy discharge? THANKS

That's about the how I'd describe what I had at 32/33 weeks. And the size too. I looked about and couldn't find a straight answer about it. Somewhere I read that you can start losing it several weeks before birth and that it's no indication of how soon labour is. Read too that it replenishes itself. So I asked my Doc and he says that there's still debates amongst Gynos that the Mucous Plug actually exists. Funny that, thery're probably all blokes too. How can so many women, worldwide experience the same thing? The knobs!! Also, may sound gross, last few weeks, the discharge has become stringy like eggwhite.

Yes, that also describes it very well, like how it is suppose to look during fertile periods, but instead of you having to go in and check it out, one big glob just come out on it's own
