Mucus Plug Streaked W Blood

I am 36 wks now, and I just did a self check test to see if I was dialating. I decided to feel around and see if there was anything else I could feel, and out came a blob of stringy mucus with blood streaks which was in a crevice by my cervix. Is this my mucus plug, and what does the blood in it mean? Also, my doctor said her head is already down, and I have had some cramping over the last 2 wks.

this sound like what happened to me .its nothing to worry about,it means labour is going to happen very soon good luck
