I am 38 weeks today and I was unable to walk through a store yesterday because I had so much pain in my pelvis and lower back. Is this the baby moving down to prepare for birth. This is my second and I do not remember this happening with my first baby.

I'm in the same boat at 39 &2 days. Horrid low back & pelvic pain. I'm sure it's because the baby is engaged. I wonder if she's posterior, and that's why all the discomfort?

I experienced that about a week or so ago. The pain was so horrible it brought tears to my eyes with every little movement. It was so painful that I figured I would visit the hospital. I was told it was the baby putting pressure on my pelvic bone and it was just a sign that things are starting to get themselves ready down there. They a__sured me everything was ok, but with the pain I felt it was hard to believe.
