What Should I Do

I am 38 weeks pregnant with my 2 child, I am dilated to 4 1/2 and effaced at 50-60 % but my contractions are all over the place(just like with my first) I just got home from the hospital because they want me to wait until my contractions are 2-3 minutes apart (they are 5 minutes now) I have been to the hospital 3 times in the last 3 weeks, the first time I was leaking fluid all day and went it that night and they told me it was nothing just "my body changing" and took come back if my contractions get to 5-7 minutes apart, the next week my contractions were 6 minutes apart and were coming from my back to my front and was last ing 55 seconds, I went in to the hospital and they told me they weren't strong enough and i was only dilated to 3. If I was 4 then they would break my water. Last night I was having the worst contractions every 4 minutes and could barely handle them, 6 hours later they stopped but I started to vomit for the rest of the morning, and then in the afternoon, I had so much pressure on my r___m and va___a that I took a mirror and saw that I was 3x the size swollen then I was in the morning...the small feeling I got right before I gave birth to my first son....The nurses at the hospital told me everything is fine and to come back when my contractions are 2 minutes apart and I can't handle them.....What would you do in my situation??? Call my Doctor and complain about my pain or keep my mouth shut until I see him on Friday?? I am just afraid that it will be too late and I may deliver at home.....

I agree; that just doesn't sound right. Are your contractions still 2-5 minutes apart? Call your doc!

Yes call your doc. I went in having contractions 10 min apart with my last and they put me on pitocin to help after monitoring me for a few hours as i wasn't progressing.I'd think that 6 min was close enough for them to help you continue and have the baby.

I would definately either go to the hospital or call your dr!!

I would definately call your doctor.. Most doctors tell you to go to the hospital when your contractions aree 5 minutes apart....when your contractions are 2 minutes apart, you are pretty far into labor already...I don't understand why the hospital would tell you to wait so long. I would definately call your doctor and complain
