I would like to say that no it is not, but I would be lying. I know that the second you hold that sweet baby in your arms, it is all worth it. Some women have worse labor than others, but with a wide variety of pain relief available, if you cannot cope with the pain the doctors can make it better! Hope this helps......Good Luck!

I'M SCARED TOO!!!!! i am 23 and having my first baby...I think maybe its the unknown that is the scariest for me. Will i be able to handle the pain? What if something goes wrong? I guess I just try to tell myself that heaps of women having beeen doing this since the beginning of time and that if they got through it so can I. I also think that when you are in the moment i guess you just do what you gotta do. I truly think that women are very strong...thats why we do it...although I'd like to see a bloke or 2 i know do it :)!! Good Luck and keep me posted if you like. Ps. my due date is 16th june..whats yours?

Hey sweetie, some people have hard labors and others have easy labors. Dont be scared though. Their are alot of people in hospitals that can help u, I would reccomend an epidural. I have had one with each of my children. I had my first child at 17, second one at 19, and now pregnant with # 3 and Im 21. Don't let any one tell u ur to young to be haveing children and people will look at u in a different way but don't let it get u down. As long as u have support u will get through it though. My e-mail address is Angeleyez1983@aol.com u can e-mail me anytime u need to i will try to help w/ any questions u may have. Good luck!! ~Tiffany~

have you thought of hiring a doula? She can help ease your fears and help you have the most comfortable experience you can. The fears of pain are so wrongly announced about birth. It isn't like a broken bone or tooth ache, it is painful, at times, but if you move around a lot, eat and drink when you feel like it, take baths and showers, it should make it manageable for you.

Labour is painfull but it os a pain that will end and produce a wonderful baby. I recomend that you do some reading and learn as much as you can about the stages of labour and pregnacy the more you know the less scary the labour will be.

im not necessarily scared of the pain im scared of anything going wrong, and more scared of the fact that ill be in pain for hours on end instead of something short. i hate the fact that ill be miserable for hours instead of something that only lasts for a little bit, i can deal with pain i have a very high tolerance but im sure thatll wear thin after an hour of constant pain.

I was 16 when I first had my son, now I'm 18 and due in 2 weeks. I can tell you it's not that bad, just let nature do its thing, and when its over.. You get the best gift of all, your baby. gjarfigueroa@hotmail.com
