I was checked for dialation today and it hurt really bad and then 3 hours later I was bleeding a little. Can a doctor strip your membranes without telling you?? Do you bleed after a dialation check?

I was just checked yesterday, but I didn't bleed. It did hurt though. I have heard it is pretty normal to have a little spotting after. Did you bleed a lot?

No, it was a slow stream and it was more pink than anything. It lasted for quite a few hours though

I would maybe just call and tell them about it, but I think it is pretty normal. I don't think a doctor would strip your membranes without telling you. How far along are you?

It sounds like your membranes were stripped. Doctors SHOULD tell you, though they don't always let you know. A doctor stripped with my membranes with my daughter and never informed me.

according to them 36 weeks but my old doctor said 37 weeks, and since I measure 37 weeks thats what I go by. I just went to the bathroom and had a little bit of discharge tinged pink again! I thought I was done with that stuff...hmmmm
