what does the first contraction feel like? im 35 weeks and ive got this awful sharp stabbing pain in the right side of my stomach, it doesnt come or go so im thinking it isnt a contraction, i havent had BH or if i have i havent noticed, but this pain is becoming unbearable, i havent had a loss (mucous plug) or anything like that but this pain is horrible, what do i do, im only 15 and im not sure what to do?? help plz xx

vickie i get a pain down low on my right side all the time it comes and goes and sometimes it lasts for an hour or more and when i or the dr pushes there it hurts the dr told me its just the baby head pushing in that spot as the baby drops lower but if i was u i would go to the hospital and have it checked there could be something wrong better safe than sorry and no its not contractions youll know when u get a contraction your belly tightens and it hurts across your lower abdiomen and in your back also u get alot of pressure down there at least thats what they feel like for me ill be 40 wks on wed and i get them all the time

Vickie, i think its worth mentioning this pain at your next appointment just to put your mind at rest. Im 39wks on weds and this is my 3rd baby. It isnt unusual to feel different pains stabbing or aching ones but they will check your urine just to check for infection as i had a kidney one last month and was given some tabs to clear it up. san x
