for the past 2 days, i have had the WORST pressure. i can barely move without feeling shooting pain in my pelvic area. i know that the baby is low, but is there anything i can do to ease this pain? also, for the ladies who have had their babies already, how long did this pain last before you actually went into labor? i don't know how much more of this i can take!!

hey tmaria--I have no advice but I can tell you that I'm going through the same thing. It must have something to do with the babe dropping because she did about two nights ago and that's when it started. The only thing I find that helps is frequently changing position/walking around a bit...but moving hurts! Best of luck to you!

How far along are you? Ive had the same thing and my doctor told me its the baby dropping into postion. It could still be awhile before he drops all the way tho.

i'm 38 weeks. it almost feels like a bladder infection. today my ob took a culture, so i'm not sure yet. he did tell me that the baby is completely dropped, but this pain is almost unbearable!

hi all, im not anywhere close to delivering but im here cause i already had a baby before and know about the process, but my question is similar, im about 16w3 d latley if im sitting on the couch leaning forward, resting elbos on my knees and i sneeze, i get this huge cramp like tightening down where baby sits, ill stand up right away to stretch it out and it hurts for maybe 10 seconds, did anyone else have that?

tmaria, it may have been that the baby has dropped or otherwise known as "lightening" has occured. If you are a first time momma this can happen up to 4 weeks before you deliver...when are you due? If you already have had children this tends to happen a bit closer to delivery and sometimes not until you go into labor. I myself have just started feeling this incredable pressure yesterday and today and have noticed that my heartburn has disappeared so I think my little one has dropped. I am almost 37 weeks but this is my 6th pregnancy so I really don't know how close I am..lol
