I feel like I have beem in labor for about a week now. Can that be so? I have had off and on contractions that last a long time for hours at a time then go away. I have been dilated at 3 1/2 cm for 2 weeks now. Could I be in labor? The contrations start in my back and work their way to the front.

You could be in early labor. I have had the same thing for 3 weeks now. Some women go into prodromal labor where they have contractions for weeks without a baby. Not fun! Hopefully soon right? Let me know.

im 35 weeks and yesterday had a huge contraction when i was alking home from work, i had to stop and breath through it all the way, it lasted about 10 mins so tight my abdomen went, does this hold out a hope for labouring early, my mum went at 36/37 and 38 weeks??

Can someone please tell me what prodromal labor is? I was told it was someone in labor but didn't believe that they were, the doctors actually have to convince them they are. This doesn't sound right. Thanks.
