what does it look like could have i be loosing mine? im 39 weeks past due date by 5 days.

you can lose it in one go---big thuck pencilshaped mucuosy thing, sometimes streaked with blood---or, you can lose it over time---really REALLY thick snotty, globby discharge (normal pregnancy is also snotty, but not thick)...globby is the key term here.
now that I've grossed you and myself out, I hope that answers your question.

Mine was not streaked with blood with my first or this pregnancy. Both times I lost it over time not in one huge glob. Also the key is if you touch it it doesn't really come apart- it'll stay in one piece (unlike regular discharge or really runny snot). It's really really thick.
