Is it possible to not know you're in labor? I know it sounds dumb but Im worried I wont know.

some women have contraction in the first stage w/o knowing but as labor progresses you'll know you in labor because the contraciton will be getting more painful

like maryl said a lot of woman go through the first part of labor (up to 3 or 4 cm) without feeling any of the contractions... some woman may even dialate more than that, so yes, it is possible to be in labor and not know it.....Obviously if your water breaks, you will know you are in labor, but it is possible to be having contractions and not feeling them.
