ok, this stuff is NOT c___p n itz not voodoo. it has something 2 do with the graphite n the lead n ur blood that makes the pencil move. my mom even did it on my great-grandma n she had 10 children. each one was accurate. so this works.

If it swings back and forth it's a boy, if it circles it's a girl.... and as far as an ultrasound goes... Yes is accuarate, but this is just an old wives tale that I find actually works! Don't ruin the fun for everyone by getting all hyped up about it!

I haven't tried the pencil test, but did however use the ring and string test. I had always thought that if it went back and forth it was a boy and then if it goes in circles, then it's a girl. I have two girls and when I do the test it goes in circles twice for my girls. Then it goes back and forth which is telling me I'm going to have a boy. Well I'm not sure if I was doing it right, but I had my tubes tied 9 years ago, so does it mean I'm still going to have that boy someday? Also, I did the test on my fiance and he don't have any kids, but it tells him he will have 1 boy. Strange. How exactly do you do the pencil test?

I have never heard about the pencil test so I decided to try it on my family. My daughter is 38 weeks pregnant and the test said boy which is exactly the same thing 3 ultrasounds have said. I then had my daughter do it to me and it said; girl, girl and boy which is exactly what I had. She then did it to my 16 1/2 year old son and it said 3 boys with him and the clincher is that I have a severely disabled daughter that has Cerebral Palsy and we tried it to her and the pencil went in circles and then completely stopped. It was absolutely fascinating. I know that there is no logic to to these things but just because there is no scientific proof does that really mean that it cannot be true? That would mean that things we cannot prove could not be true, such as MIRACLES! Just because you cannot see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist and just because you cannot understand the logic of it, doesn't mean it cannot be true either.
Just my opinion, don't mean to offend anyone.

Listen, My wife had 6 ultrasounds and Doc said every time that it was a girl. A friend of the family did the string test and it said boy. No-one believed her, and even scoffed at her some, until my son Austin was born !!!
Take your ultrasound and shove it !!! Thats what I say !!!

Me and my family have been doing the pencil test for years now and it has always been accurate. But does any one know if u put it over your stomach if it shows the s_x of a baby if u r not pregnant. It is showing up on me and my sisters belly but we are not sure if we are pregnant so we tried it on some one elses stomach that knows they are not pregnany and it did nothing.

I am researching how this works too and came upon this Forum. Who's the dude that said that bogus stuff about the graphite and the blood? Somebody thinks he's a fancy talker cause 50/50 chances don't happen to women who have had 6-8 children and it goes in order of each and stops everytime. i have been convinced that this test is accurate by how it's response has yet to not come true. Here's something kind of interesting that i've noticed about it. If you do it on a little girl, it will only tell the first one or two children. i wonder if that's because they haven't fully developed into a woman. Also, you can do the test to yourself or another female can do it to you. It won't move if a man does it or if you try to do it to a man. It won't move. Weird, huh? i have done this test or had it done to me a dozen times
and after age 16, it has told me the same thing every time and then stopped. i was 12 when i first had it done and it only told me the first two, a couple years later it added two more and i was 16 when it added the last. in all i should have 5 and it has been consistently accurate with my first three since i first did it when i was only 12. it has been right with my mom, who had 6, everytime we've done it and so far with my sisters. We've done it on friends and grandparents and it's always been right. my sister in law is a twin with her brother. When we did it to her mom, the way that it showed twins was it did the s_x that was born first and then, instead of going around in circles between the two, it switched right into the second. i don't know how it would do two of the same s_x though. i jsut find it very uncanny and so interesting. i'm on a little internet journey to find out the explanation behind it. have fun and congrats on your baby girl!

Question- I had a miscarriage first and am now 19 weeks pregnant. The pencil test says boy, then girl. Did it count the miscarriage? Or should I a__sume that the child I'm carrying now is a boy?

i have never done the test on someone who has miscarried until just the other day. She miscarried her first child, then had a boy, then mscarried a girl who she had to give birth to, so they saw that it was a girl. Then she had another boy. when i did the test on her, it didn't count the miscarriages, which i think is very strange, because it said she'd have 3 boys and a girl. The only way we could know if it was counting the miscarriages is if the girl she miscarried (at 20 weeks) was really a boy. She even brought up that possibility so maybe they didn't look really carefully, or maybe it was way under developed in that area being only 20 weeks old and they didn't look carefully. I noticed a few peopel say in this forum that their miscarriages were counted and i can't imagine they wouldn't be. They are still a conception and a person. Sorry i can't help more. But best wishes and congrats on your pregnancy and thereafter!

I say that is works........I will soon (hopefully) be able to tell you 100% I have 2 boys & I am 15 weeks pregnant now & it says I am having a girl. I should get a sono in the next month or so. So, we will see what that tells. I know you cannot be 100% until it is born, but it sure has me!!!
