My friend is 7 weeks pregnant, had a va___al ultrasound, and the doctor said there is no heartbeat. She has miscarried twice before. Is there anyway they missed it?

It is possible that the baby is just not as far along as she thought. She should go for another one next week and see. Did the dr. say anything else?

Did they use a doppler or did they do an actual ultrasound?

oh Alex, I'm sorry-it's very scary! If they tried using the doppler than there could be a chance they didn't hear it. If they used an ultrasound I'm not sure that's a good sign. Did you call/ask the dr?
