rockijames..How are you.. I am back, I am now 4 months pregnant with the copper IUD. So far everything is going well.. I had a doctors appointment yesterday and he says the baby is healthy and everything is going good.. Although I do get some spotting after having intercouse, it's worries me.. Has any one had this experience??

I just wanted to say that i miscarried very early on and it took two weeks after the miscarriage to start my period and Ive been bleeding since July 8th. I have an appt on August 8th to have the IUD removed. I called Mirena to find out if I can be re-imbursed for it and they asked me if I have contact the FDA. I think everyone here who has been pregnant with the IUD should contact the FDA!

hi ladies my full story is above. my period came almost 2 weeks early this month and was very heavy and lasted 4 days longer than usual and ive also been feeling pain during s_x. to make a long story short i cant feel the strings and my doc cant so them so they havre me scheduled for a ultra sound on aug 2nd to locate the iud and to "see whats going on with my uterus". well i am a full time stay at home mom and i also babysit 2 other small babys 1 one year old (the same age as my son) and a 18 month old that is very large. well yestarday as i was carring my son and the 1 year old up 4 flights of stairs(no elavator!!!!) when i got up the stairs i really started have some really bad cramps almost as if i was starting my period yet i just got off 4 days before this. i cramped bad all day and when i went to the bathroom late that nite i noticed 3 very small blood clots and i thought i was starting my period or bleed again i put a pad on went to sleep and when i woke up there was nothing. (the iud also gave me bacterial vaginits and a yeast infection !!) i havent had many pregnancy symptoms only extreem moodiness, frequent urination and a bit of naseua esp when i smell certian foods. CAN SOME 0NE PLEASE TELL ME THAT MY IUD IS STILL PROTECTING ME AND IM NOT PREGNANT?

I have a Paragard IUD. I lost my first Paragard after drinking an energy drink that made me really sick. I had it for almost 10 months. I saw my obstetrician who said it was just a freak accident and I got another Paragard in March. During the last part of June, I thought that I couldn't feel one of the strings, and because I had unprotected s_x I took plan B just to be on the safe side. An examination discovered that both strings were there, one just wrapped around the other, making it feel like I only had one. My last menstrual period before I took plan B was June 17. I got my first period following plan B on July 7. That's 20 days between each date of starting my period. I have never really tracked my cycles, but I know that I do not have a 20 day cycle. Now, though, I have that "pregnant" feeling. My complexion is out of whack, my b___sts feel heavier and my bra is suddenly too small. My mid section seems to be bloated and I am peeing more frequently. It's only been 19 days past the first day of my last menstrual period. I took a first response pregnancy test today, but I think that its still too soon. What's unusal though is with my first child, I knew that I was pregnant 26 days after my last menstrual period . I still have a week to wait, but something in my brain is saying "pregnant!" Have you guys heard of anything like this?

Hey Guys! I got my Mirena IUD in August 2005 after I had my second baby. My doctor told me they were 99.9% effective. A few weeks ago, I thought I was starting my period, but instead I spotted very, very lightly for like 2 hours and that was it, Now my b___st are sore, The smell of almost any kind of food makes me wanna be sick......I'm lightheaded!!!! And I'm completely exhausted.......... I took one pregnacy test and it was negative but I still have the symptoms!!! I haven't been to the doctor yet, I'm scared though and somewhat confused about what to do........I'm 22 and have 2 precious boys! Wanted a 3rd, but wanted to wait a few more years so this is a surprise to us......

help from all!! i am 9 week post partum, i had an iud inserted and still havent had a period. i dont think iam pregnant i had a negative preg test, but what happens if you have an iud inserted not knowing your pregnant. i also have developed a yeast infx since having it inserted 6 days ago.. any help here..

hey fawn, i had 6 negative blood tests and the doctor told me i wasnt preg and i was treated like i was crazy, i now have a 9 week old baby girl.. so if you feel preg keep bugging the doc.. we arent all crazy, like these docs think.

Since you are only 9 weeks PP you may just have not started AF yet. I didnt start AF until 4 months PP. Everyone varies some women start sooner and others take longer. During the first few months of having the IUD you may have pregnancy symptoms which are only side effects. I am having my IUD removed on tuesday by then I will 8 DPO. Does that leave a possibility for me to get pregnant?

Hi I was wondering if any of you guys knew about how soon you can get pregnant after the IUD is removed? I have the mirena one and will have it removed tomorrow and was hoping to get pregnant real soon. Any help with me great thanks

hi I just got my IUD in June and now I am over a week late when I realized I was late I checked for the strings and could not find them at first I was able to locate them eventually but instead of being an inch long as before they are now very short. I have a 10 month old baby who is still nursing but it is getting uncomfortable because my nipples are so sore and I have been very grumpy and tired lately I have also felt a little sick and very hungry. i guess what I mean is I feel pregnant! i took a HPT almost a week ago and it was negative but i can't shake the worry that something up. i guess i would not be so worried if the strings felt normal. i am 24 and have two wonderful boys 9 (step son) and 10 months and although i badly want another child this is the worst time i just had an interview to start a home daycare when my leave is up in September i cant turn around and say but i can only work for a few months. any ways just wondered if any one had a similar thing happen with the strings and how many people had a false negative HPT ?

Hi I saw this thread regarding IUD and i am going nuts now.. I have 10 months old baby and for the past 1 wk i feel dizzy , have lota food craving and vomitting with backpain.. i had my IUD after 4 months of my delivery.. i havent got my periods at all.. doc said that sometimes ppl wont get periods due to IUD and due to Breast feeding.. i still b___stfeed my baby... now i am really nervous.. planning to check for pregnancy tomo........ hope the result comes NEGATIVE.... - Suki

ok i am now 11 wks pp and 2 wks post iud insertion and i finally started and started big time... so now all is going back to normal... i just needed a little patience.. thanks to all and good luck to all of you....thanks for all the advice..

smenefee when you got your IUD out did you bleed ALOT? they said i should only spot like when i got it put in but im bleeding very heavy. i didnt start bleeding til 2 days after it was removed does that mean its my period?? Thanks for any help

I wrote about 2 months ago, had very strong feeling of pregnany and all symptoms alhtough preg tests and blood tests came back neg. seems like i am 1 of the unlucky ones who just seems to have a reaction to the hormone in the mirena coil, swollen tummy, no periods, lactation, blurred vision etc. gp sent me for an umtrasound last week just to check. all clear no baby. mirena in right place. hopefully my body may go back to feeling non pregnant soon !! good luck everyone

this is my 3rd iud, i first had a 2 year iud, then the 10year iud with those yes i bled alot the first few days, however with the mirena i bled alot the first day then nothing but now it is time for my period and i am flooooooooding.. it is my first period after a baby tho so that may be the reason, i am 11 week pp..
