Hi all,
I had s_x on the 13 of February and got what I think is my period on the 15th. Heavy bleeding throughout the week and it ended on the 21st.
I am experiencing:
backache
bloated stomach
constant urge to urinate but can't.
nausea
slight headache
Period = not pregnant, right?
Why am I still so worried?

You are worried because your body is behaving unusually. If you have a regular cycle and you were due the 15th, I doubt you are pregnant. It does seem you need to get checked out for whatever else might be the problem. Yes, if that was not your regular partner on the 13th, I can see you might worry you have picked up a bug. GL!

I do not have a regular cycle. Is it possible for his sperm to have survived during my period?

Sperm can survive in friendly mucus for as much as five days, but not through a period. Did you have s_xual exposure of any kind around Feb 1st? You do have early preg signs, but the reason I doubt you are pregnant is that while many women have bleeds during pregnancy, esp. first trimester, they are light enough not to qualify as a five day heavy period. Also s_x two days before a period is not going to get you pregnant. If in doubt, take a test or two using first morning pee. Let us know how it goes!

I've taken two pregnancy tests but both came out negative. I did not have any s_xual exposure 9 months prior to the Feb. 13th one. I do not have the urge to urinate as much as I did before but my stomach is bloated and nausea/headache/lightheadedness is still common. I noticed some spotting today - but I am not sure if it's implantation bleeding. It's barely there - very light brown. It was accompanied by very strong cramps. I experienced very painful cramps this morning at around 7 and in the afternoon at around 5. Is it normal for cramps to be extremely painful? It hurt more than menstrual cramps....

I hope you have a doctor appointment lined up. This is not a normal pregnancy story.
