Im a single mother and i should know by now how this all goes but human nature is still unpredictable so i need a bit of advice or at least a point of view other than my own.
I have irregular periods. Sometimes i miss a month and it comes the following month but lasts 3 days as if it were a regular basis period. well , i havent been intimate for a while and my last period was in June 9th 2011 and today is the 11th of August and i have not gotten my period ..however, i did have unprotected s_x the 6th and the 7th of August. Should i be worried about anything ? i mean if my period was expected to come in Aug , the intercourse shouldnt affect it right? i mean Im not on any kind of birth control and he did (fill my tank ) ..but if i were to get pregnant, it would be tracked the following month of Sept not Aug right ?
what do you think ?!?

With such an irregular cycle it is very difficult to know when you might have ovulated. Do you follow signs of ovulation like a cramp 2 weeks before a period comes, or fertile mucus? Suppose you are getting pregnant from Aug 6th exposure, you might expect early signs (fatigue etc.) starting about now, and a positive test maybe Aug 21st. You would not then get a normal August period. My gut feeling is that you are only ovulating one side, on a two-monthly schedule, and your s_x was too late to catch ovulation. That does mean you should expect your period soon. Come back if no period arrives and you develop more early pregancy signs. GL!

that would be great news to my ears.
i usually do get a bit of the fatigue and a bit of cramping. i had a bit of cramping on wednesday. but still no period. I hope i am not pregnant but i dont understand the one side ovulating that you speak of. I will just keep an open mind and see what happens.
