Hi, I m having irregular periods and I consulted one gynec here last month. Usually my periods used to come in anytime like 35-56 days. I told him tht we are trying for a baby too. he prescribed me progestrone tablets starting from 15th day of my menstruation cycle. This time my periods came on exact 28th day. Does that mean I ovulated on the 14nth day? or what does this progesterone tablet actually do? Also I read in Inter net that it is not safe to take progesterone tablets if u r trying to conceive ( from internet).because it may lead to mis carriage.And it acts more like a contraceptive pill. Now, I m really confused why he prescribed me tht medicine. Any clue on this? Because as per his precription I have to take these tablets for 3 months... these are 10mg tablets... 1 per day for 10 days starting frm 15th day. So, will I become pregnant if I take progesterone tablets? No tests were done before givign these tablets. Expecting a quick reply. Thanks a lot.
