hi am 18 am in a long term realtionship been with my lovley b/f 2 yrs now an weve had are ups and downs like every realtionship an we have been throw alot ive never asked anything like this online but i will just get on with it lol. me an my b/f had an accident were a condom split on us i no most condoms do actually have searmaside in them wich are ment to kill any sprm that goes in them but any way i came on my period last tuesday an was off by friday an stayed off but yesterday (sunday) we had intercause agian i bleed after for about 5 mins, also when i first came on my period i was experiencing really bad pains i normally do get painful periods any way but this was harendus but it went off after i went for a long sleep! my mum was worried an she said if it was to carry on she was going to take me to the hospitial but i refused because the pain went off! just wondered what people would think of this and do u think it is advisable to go to the doctors :)

Painful periods (dysmenorrhea) can be natural or caused by infections etc. Read http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003150.htm You probably should see a doctor. When a condom splits like that, get a prescription for PLAN B morning after pill which will reduce the chance of pregnancy by 75% if taken within 3 days. Better yet, use a condom as well as some other form of bc. In your case going on the pill might help the painful periods. Ask the doctor.

thank u viv for the link an the info i do no about th morning after pill but didnt go as ive had alot on with college and other proplems i no its no excuse! lol unfortatley i canot go on the pill because of my high blood pressure that i have suffered from all my live i will go to the docs i think though to be on th safe side
