I have irregular periods (cycle varying from 28 to 33 days) and conceived fairly easily. Although your cycle is a lot longer than most others', it sounds fairly regular varying only by a day or so. So if you're late for your period, you can take a test now.

u need to see your OBGYN My periods were that far apart. I went to the dr and they found a ma__s on my cervix. They removed the ma__s and now periods are 36 days apart and I just found out that I am pregnant. Your period should never be 50+ days apart if this happens that means something is wrong. Don't wait

I beg to differ, confused -- I have know people who were perfectly healthy but had periods 60 or so days apart. Absolutely it should always be investigated by a professional, but it doesn't always mean something's wrong.

Call your doctor and see what he/she tells you.
22 and 40 days apart falls within the norm, says Robert Shenken, MD Search the net it will tell you that if your period is more than 50 days apart you should contact your doctor.
Oh and Malica- Just because a person has a ma__s doesn't mean its cancer (or something bad) sometimes its just scared tissue growing that forms a ma__s.
