in july i had my period twice and then in august i did too. on august 30 i had unprotected s_x but i havent gotten a period yet this month...why do i get it twice and could i be preggo?

If you are younger (a teenager), it could very well just be irregularity due to your hormones. I had fairly regular periods for several years before they decided to start happening every 2 weeks when I was 15 or so. I went on the birth control pill to regulate them, which worked very well. You need to talk to your doctor about this -- if it goes on for too long it's quite easy to get anaemic (lack of iron) from it. Could you be pregnant? Short answer is if you're having unprotected s_x then yes, of course you can get pregnant. With such an irregular cycle it is hard to determine when you ovulate and when you would be fertile. If you don't get your period within the next week you could take a home pregnancy test to see if you are or not, or your doctor could perform a pregnancy test while you're there to investigate getting your period every 2 weeks.
