I found out i was pregnant apr 25th... i havent told mah mom bcuz im still scared she mite try 2 have mah bf put n jail... i looked up tha statutory rape laws n mah state nd he can face a misdameanor nd up 2 a yr n jail... but i kno i have 2 tell her... she already has suspicions that im pregnant 1 bcuz kaiser sent a appt card home 4 mah prenatal appt nd she read it 2 bcuz im gainin weight... but every time she asks i deny it... should i just tell her..?

i wuold come clean and tell her. Sure its hard..just sit her down and explain that you know you've made a mistake and that you love her..and that you need her support. you've been wating totell her something important but you've been too fraid to tell her.

I was really scared to tell my mom, too. I told her when I found out and she wasn't nearly as mad as I thought she'd be. She wasn't happy and made it clear I disappointed her, but I can't really blame her for that.

also, depending on your age, if you're of consenting age, even though he's over the legal age, your mom may not be able to have him arrested.

that's right. the legal age is different in every state. in MY state, louisiana, the legal age of consent is 17. and besides, when i told my mom i might be prenant (i'm 18) she wasn't disappointed or angry at all and i was scared to death to tell her! sometmies it ends up being better than you initally think it might.

You can fight what youre parents say in court. You can say you gave concent. I had a friend of mine end up pg and she was 15 and her bf was 19 her parents tried everything under the sun but went to court and fought it and got him off everything put huburing a runaway over state lines. I live in Texas but you can fight what you say in court. You cant not tell your parents bc they will find out one way or another. goodluck sweetie

it just goes to show what these overage men are actually after with these young girls. i wish young girls werent quite so naive about them but then thats always going to happen. i think with statutory rape the guy deserves every punishment they can throw at him, they are all too often old enough to know better. don't worry about telling your mum im sure she will understand and try to help the best way she can.

you can fight in court and say you gave consent butknow onewill care it wont make a difference because satuary rape has nothing to do with wether you let him or not its if your underage it doesnt matter if you gave your consent, but if your mum allready has suspicions she probably allready knows and is just waiting for you to tell her...............good luck

it does matter bc she can go to a OBGYN and they can do a rape kit on her and the doctor can tell if it was forced.

Southernangel you're an idiot. Statutory rape is different than RAPE. Statutory rape is where the man is well older than the female. She is either under age of consent or under 18 and he is 4 yrs older than her. Learn something, dumba__s.

i would just go ahead and tell her if she is having suspension's that you are. she probably wont have anyone put in jail, you are just freaking out but then again i dont know your mom.
