Hello all,
I need some advice...I am having the most unbearably painful pregnancy, and it has been like this the whole time. My daughter was born premature, but her pregnancy was a breeze compared to this one. Maybe because I am having a boy and am alergic to the male hormone. jk. anywho, I am READY for this to be over. I have been trying to primrose oil and red raspberry tea, but no luck. Been having a lot of s_x, and walking a lot too, but no luck. Two weeks ago I was in false labor, and apparently I am currently 4 cm dialated, and 50 % efaced, buit not in active labor (that was a horrible experience since they put an epidural in me and I was in labor and delivery for an hour!!) i just want this to be done. I cry every night because I am that miserable. Please no rude remarks...I have been handling this well up until now, and I really am in that much pain.

I am 37 Weeks...I am working still, and can't even sit without being in pain. Where do I look into accupuncture?

Just Google accupucture and enter you city. Call a few and ask if they do accupunture to help induce labour.

I've never tried this myself but I heard Castor Oil is a sure shot at going into labor. It's definitelfy on my list of things to try if my little guy doesn't cooperate and come out as planned! Good luck to you! I'm about 4 weeks away and ready to go in and take him out myself, LOL.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT try castor oil!!!! It most certainly is not a 100% guaranteed to bring on labor but IS 150% GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU 100% MORE MISERABLE than u r...w/ diarhea, vomiting and horrible stomach cramps!!! So please dont try castor oil!!

At your next appt. ask your doc. to strip your membranes Since you are already 4 cm this could do the trick pretty easily.

I really don't advise using Castor oil, it is a diuretic and will give you diarhea, plus it says right on the bottle that it should not be used by pregnant women. I've also heard good things about the accupuncture, or eating spicy food, or s_x. That baby must just not be ready to come out yet!

Oh boy! Krissy and Apple - thanks for the heads-up! Didn't know it would have that type of bad reaction! Didn't even know it was a diuretic! I just read it somewhere on the internet that it brings on labor. I think I'll stay clear of castor oil - I'm miserable as it is and don't want to bring on any more misery!

Hi there, I so feel your pain! I am 37 weeks and 2 days my doc is going to induce me on Thursday, I begged to have it done sooner. I am huge (baby is really big) and I have low fluid so every time the baby moves I feel it even worse. He is also so far down in my pelvis its hard for me to walk the last few days. I have been having contractions every 2 to 3 minutes, but my body refuses to dilate beyond a 2 1/2 with it. I guess he is not ready and I want him to stay in as long as possible until he is, but seriously I may lose my mind. I understand the crying part, I do it in bed every night because it is so painful to move. I agree with the others about the castor oil, its a bad idea. Try s_x and walking these usually help it along a bit. Hold in there, it doesnt sound like it will be too much longer at all. Good luck!!!!

if you think its frustrating at this stage, being 4,3,2 weeks away, just imagine how it is for women who go overdue! its not going to be comfortable or pain free at the end stages but thats just something we have to try and deal with. try and get as much rest as you can and eat well so you don't feel sluggish. i heard that caster oil was actually taken off the shelves in the UK because too many women who werent at their 40 week stage were taking it to induce a labour and it was subsequently causing problems for mothers and their babies. its also used in the early stages of labour to bring on a miscarriage. i took it when i was 10 days overdue because by then i was pretty sure that the baby was most definately full term and it brought on the labour perfectly, no distress, no problems at all. i think trying things like pineapple, s_x etc is fine. i honestly don't see why a mother-to-be wouldnt just think, im going to let nature take its course and the baby will come when its ready, rather than being desperate to try and get the baby out when you are arent even term yet. each to their own, but i'm glad i let nature take its course and waited till i was over FULL term before trying anything to help baby along.
