Hey guys sorry been kinda busy. Well...37.2 now! I wanted to answer the question bout my pre-clampsia. Yeah it was pretty bad. It was not noticed until 37 weeks. Went into my apt., nurse looked at me, called for the doc immediately, and while she was weighing me he was calling me into the hospital. WOW what a mess. I had gained 6 pounds in one week so they induced me that day. Couldnt even go home. Def. wasn't ready. Well that was not the end. 5 hours into labor they were putting the epidural in my back and i had a 30 second ceasure. Never have had one in my life. Needless to say they did an emergency c-sec. Very scary! Well.......things are not looking to good now either. Last mondy i had an apt. and the doc said i had gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks. Well...I just got on the scale and since last monday i have gained another 7-8 pounds and since thursday i have had very bad swelling. Checked my bp tonight though and it was higher then normal but not bad. Usually runs bout 102/60, it's up to 117/78 so it came up some but not dangerous. So, i don't know what he is going to do. I am extremely miserable and wish he would just move my c-sec up some. Especially with my history it's worrisome. well goodluck to everyone, i have my apt. tomorrow morning at 10:30 so, well we will see.....

And to add to everything I am about 4'11, so if you picture that I feel like I'm about to topple over. Everyday somebody is asking me if i'm having twins. lol

Wow- lots of posts over the weekend! I slept the entire weekend away! I can't believe how tired I am. I checked my blood pressure over the weekend- 168 / 99. Really scary. I called the doc, told her I was seeing spots in my peripheral vision and she said as long as I don't have a headache and baby is active I will be fine. I think my BP is way too high, but baby is active. The first time I do not feel him move is when I plan on going straight to hospital. I have a bad feeling about all this and doctor doesn't seem to want to listen to it. I go see doctor today and my blood and urine test results will be in, so hopefully they will finally do something! I am still trying the home remedies. I eat pineapple everyday and that has done nothing for me, but I do love pineapple. I tried the rasperry leaf tea (really good!) but I don't think that helped. But like the pineapple, it's really good, so i'll keep on drinking it! I did insert and evening primrose oil capsule in me and WOW! did I get some serious menstral cramping! The cramps woke me up and kept me up for about 3 hours. Not sure if it was helping with the dialating or not, so I didn't do it again. Guess I'll find out today how dialted I am. If I am more than 2cm, then I am going to keep trying the oil capsules. If I am still at 1cm, then I am not going to deal with those cramps again!!! If nothing else- 6 more days until my due date. I pray he comes on time, at least!!!

Had my 39 week appt. today. No change from 2 weeks ago. Still 1 cm dilated. No signs of labor at all really. Doc is pressuring me to be induced but im refusing so i go in for some testing this week. My blood pressure was 175/120. Very high. Its normally 112/70. I have extreme swelling in my feet, hands, and face. He still doesnt think its preeclampsia though. Im 38 weeks 5 days today.

I had my last doc visit today!!! Yeah!! I go in on the 16th (Monday) for my c sec!!! They did aother ultra sound and said baby is measuring 8 1/2 to 9 lbs right now and should be 9 to 9 1/2 lbs at delivery. I am getting relly excited! I am just doing last minute prep!! I can't wait to hear flybears birthstory!!! Newbaby - why dont you want to be induced? Everyone - Cant wait till your lil ones are here!!! I am so anxious to here all your birth stories!!! Angel - did you have baby hannah yet?

Hi ladies!! I have been checking on you off and on to see how you have been. I'm really happy for each of you, so close!!! Good luck with your little ones once they are here. Hold them close and love them because before you know it, they are walking around and giving you att_tude. LOL Newbaby, your blood pressure was 175/120???? Your doctor doesn't think it's pre-eclampsia? Does that mean that your doc has tested you for it? If they haven't tested you for it and you blood pressure stays up, I would ask the doc about it. When I had my daughter my blood pressure was 150/100 and my doc was worried because of the swelling, ended up doing a c-section that day because I had been having bad swelling for weeks...c-section was more due to the fact she was breech though. I wish all of you the best.

just popping in to say Heidi marie was born 8/2/09 at 7.47pm weighing 7lb 14oz and 51 cm....was in labour for 16hours with just gas and air........wil update asap just quickly popping in.............oh and she is gourgous!!

Congratulations Angelmonkey!!!!! I bet she is gorgeous!!!!! Hope to hear your birth story soon - 16 hours dosen't sound too long... hope you and baby are well!!!!

ok so i woke up sunday morning at 4am, my waters had broken so i rang my mum rang the hospital and got there about an hour later.........my contractions started at about 4.30am and started at 5mins apart lasting about 30 seconds.......my waters were still leaking the whole way to the hospital and when i got there i went to the loo and some more of my waters broke everyehere! i had alot of water lol! well anyway they checked me at about 7am and i was only 1cm dialted! and was still having contractions between 5-3mins lasting about 40-50 secs they decided they wanted to induce me using a gel that they put on your cervix as my waters had broken which increased the risk of me pa__sing on group B strep the longer she was in there for....so they done that and then the contractions started coming more quik and painful.about 2-3mins apart lasting about a miniute at about 1pm i decided i needed some gas and air...she said they dont this until 3cm so she checked me after i begged her to because of the pain! i was 4cm so they moved me to another room with a birthing ball ect and hooked me up to the gas and air! (it so helped so much!) well another few hours af contraction lasting 1min and 3mins apart they checked me! it was about 5pm and i was 8cm! she didnt think sjhe was feeling the head so i had to have an emergency scan which confirmed it was her head...the doctor then examined me about 5.30pm and i was 9cm!! about 15mins later they told me i needed to push! i really didnt feel the need to but tried anyway! by this point i was to busy concentrating and didnt have the gas and air! that was really uncomfortable i couldnt sit still lol! i was trying to push for about an hour with no progress! but when i think about it i really didnt have the urge to push! but the midwife was being really firm with me and telling me had to push and i was messing around!! (she got a little bit of abuse after that lol) finally i had to have my legs in styrips.....thats when i starting having the urge to push!! and half an hour later Heidi was born!! i have a 1st degree tear that didnt need st_tches! im glad i manegd to do all of it with just gas and air!! its such an unreal sensation pushing your child in to the world and feeling every bit of her entering the world!! im b___st feeding she latches on easy and she,s wonderful and such a good baby!

Isabellas mommy- yea my blood pressure has been going up every appt. since around 32 weeks. I havnt been tested for preeclampsia because i dont have protein in my urine and i dont have headaches or anything. Just high blood pressure and swelling. He thinks it has alot to do with stress. I have alot of other things going on. A major one being my fiances racing. Its not easy to plan and go on a trip knowing every time we push him onto the track could be the last time i see him alive. breezieb- I dont want to be induced unless there is a medical reason deeming it necessery. I dont see the point of inducing otherwise. The potential problems that could arise from it arent worth it having the baby a little earlier. I was induced with my daughter because i had to be and it went very smoothly so im not speaking from a bad experience. I would like to do the labor thing on my own this time. Where you're at home and just know its time to go. I have to go for some testing to check the condition of the baby so we'll see. Im can deal with my own discomfort as long as our baby girl is doing alright. Though my fiance has said he doesnt know if he can live with me for another 9 days lol.

Congrats angelmonkey! That is great to hear! Well, as for me, on Monday the doctor called me into my appointment 5 hours early. My tests results came back for protein and he sent me straight to hospital. They monitored me for a few hours then put some gel on my cervix to soften me more- I was still only 1 cm. This morning around 6 they induced me with Pitocin. Well, after 9 hours and only a little cramping, they stopped it and will resume in the morning. I did dilate another 2 cm, so I don't need the gel tonight. So I will get more pitocin around 3am then they'll break my water. Hopefully he will come tomorrow- and quickly! Good luck to everyone!

Hey ladies, sorry about my recent disappearance. Congrats on your lil guy KMO and Angel. Angel it looks like our lil ones have the same birthday. Evan Oliver was born February 8, 2009 at 2:53pm after a LONG attempt at a v____al birth, via c-section. He's got tons of dark brown hair and my husband and I are LOVING our new roles as parents.I was just discharged from the hospital yesterday and I'm sooooo glad to be home.

angel and flybear - I am so jelous!!! I am also very happy for you!!! I go in for a c-section on monday!! Flybear - Did you deliver at EJGH? I was there the other day for registration and I was wondering if you were there? The more you get yourself up and moving ( with out over doing it!) the faster you recover from your c-section. Not very pleasant huh? lol Kmoselle, newbaby - Did you have your babies? I guess I will probably be last.

Nope no baby here. Still refusing inducement. I go for for fetal testing and a biophysical profile this week to be sure its safe to continue the pregnancy. As long as the baby is doing fine, ill stay pregnant until shes ready! Flybear- Congrats!
